The final training-camp practice didn't shed any light on the quarterback situation, as it was a walk-through working off cards for Saturday's game at Seattle.
The most interesting thing this week was coach Lovie Smith's statement that the competition might have another full week to go. He's not committing to naming a starter until the final preseason game Aug. 28 at Cleveland, which means perhaps letting the decision carry to next weekend, after the game against San Francisco on Thursday.
Of course, a big outing by Rex Grossman or Kyle Orton in Seattle could change everything.
