Members of the media, including on-air talent from all three cable news networks, lived the good life in the Hamptons this past weekend — quite literally. At a sunset cocktail party dubbed "A Taste of the Good Life, with BEST LIFE," hosted by Fine Living's Eric Villency and his wife Kimberly, MSNBC's Dan Abrams, Fox News' Geraldo Rivera, CNN's Alina Cho, and ABC News' Gigi Stone were all spotted rubbing shoulders with the likes of Men's Health editor-in-chief Dave Zinczenko and Page Six's Richard Johnson. Thankfully, PatrickMcMullan.com's Neil Rasmus was there to capture it all. Below, a selection of photos from Saturday's Bridgehampton gathering:

Who are these people? They look boring. Where are the artists and intellectuals who used to live hidden away in the Hamptons?

LOL, don't Abrams and Rivera look like a loving couple?

Didn't bother reading the story, but that pic made me chuckle.

Must be fun being a Media Celebrity, so many perqs!

NO wonder the corporate media is lying about polling and creating controversies to keep the status quo.

Wait..... No Bill O'reilly, Rush and Sean, what happen? Geraldo is an accomplished journalist except when he is opening Al Capone's vault, but he needs to get rid of ex LA detective Mark Furman from his show. Now that the Jeanine Pirro's republican brand is damaged it will help if she shows some bi-partisan spirit . It was her party that treated her as if she had the plaque, and would Greg have a job in television were it not for Giraldo.

Who do you think the joke is on? Us of course. They rev you up, divide you, make you fight over crumbs and then they party and laugh all the way to the bank.

Oh to be beautiful and fabulous, well I am, but not that rich, well sort of that rich. This is even more reason to not watch TV, and more reason to inform oneself otherwise. Call your cable company and tell them to pull the plug!

I do not mean to attack people having a good time, but I can't help but wonder how the lifestyles of reporters have changed from the days when a journalist was respected for his intellect, not his looks, not his voice, but was a person who was committed to facts and was really worried about issues that affect real people. When journalists become celebrities like Brad and Angelina, of course, they get out of touch. The money the media has garnered from not covering the news in a way that is adequate and, more often than not, covering it with the stench of collusion in the promotion of the agendas of corporations truly disgusts me. It prevents the populace from policing itself through the democratic process. What are we to do?

I completely agree. Wherever that lifestyle comes from, it can be safely assumed that it doesn't come from disturbing those in power. It think it was Lewis Lapham who commented recently that long before journalists became celebrities, their enterprise was reviled and poorly paid, and that it was understood by working newspapermen that the presence of more than two people at their funeral could be taken as a sign that they had disgraced the profession. Just compare that to the completely out of proportion news media event absurdity Russert's death became...

And this is why I trust cable news personalities. They can really relate to people like me. ; )
But having said that, Dan Abrams is smoking hot and I love Dick Johnson's Hustler 74 t-shirt.

None of these people are "real journalist's". They are the cable hacks.
