Billy Mays, Commercial Superstar, Gets Reality Show "Pitchmen"

Billy Mays is starting to get on his own nerves. Recuperating from hip replacement surgery, he has spent this August day at his home in Odessa, Fla., watching TV. Every few minutes, Mays pops up in yet another commercial, each time bellowing like a man who thinks that the whole world has gone a little deaf.

I've almost worn out my remote switching the channels every time that buffoon comes on - I've gotten pretty fast on it and usually have a different channel on before he finishes bellowing "HI BILLY M..."

I go out of my way to avoid buying anything this snake oil salesman pitches.

I find him annoying too at times, and the commercial get old after about 500 viewings, lol, but I do find him to be amusing and seems to have that knack to rattle off a catchphrase or buzzword like water flowing through a gentle creek. Tho some might consider his voice a horrid screetch. Anyways, I haven't bought any of the stuff, but a friend swears by the mighty putty. But I'm sure most here will concede, he's doing all this as a persona, it's not how he is 24/7/365, lol. If anything, I think it would be interesting to see what he's really like when not hawking someone's wares.

But hey, who's more annoying, him or that aussie sounding guy Anthony Sullivan or that Joy Mangano? Or however you spell her name, hehe. Or that big redheaded lady, Kathy something I think, always doing the around the house stuff like spaghetti strainers and such.

Everybody hates this guy. I change the channel every time he comes on.

Whenever Mr. SHOUTS-ALL-THE-TIME comes on, I immediately turn the TV off for at least an hour. Sometimes I don't turn it back on until the next day.

I hope I never meet him in person, because I will not be able to resist the urge to strangle him with my bare hands..

Billy Mays is so annoying he is worse than Rush Limbaugh and that's bad. Thanks to TIVO and the internet, that pathetic voice of his is heard less and less.
