Considering the recent personnel upheavals (including the departure of co-founder and songwriter Richard Gintowt), it's a miracle that Lawrence, Kansas, indie-poppers Ghosty still sound so cohesive.

Andrew Connor nimbly dodges the sophomore slump on Answers, a Big Star-meets-Pavement affair produced by Trent Bell (Flaming Lips, Starlight Mints). 2005's acclaimed Grow Up or Sleep In only hinted at Connor's crafty idiosyncrasies, but it turns out that his songs, despite having few choruses, are stuck-in-your-head-all-day catchy.
