New York Times:

A federal appeals court on Tuesday threw out an Environmental Protection Agency rule limiting the ability of states to require monitoring of industrial emissions.

The 2-to-1 ruling by the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit is the most recent in a series of judicial setbacks to the Bush administration's efforts to reshape federal policies under the Clean Air Act.

WHOEVER MADE THAT RULING SHOULD BE EXECUTED FOR CRIMES AGAINST HUMANITY.

Are you INSANE? The court makes a ruling that allows stricter monitoring through state agencies, and you consider that a crime against humnaity?

Really?

What a poorly written headline. It makes it sound like the ruling did the exact opposite of what it actually did. It didn't reject the EPA's restrictions on industrial emissions, it rejected the EPA's attempts to limit the states' ability to restrict emissions.

Whoever writes headlines over at HuffPo really sucks...and I've been saying this for a long time.

Ditto! I was surprised to see the actual content...which leads me to believe that the person who wrote the headline made an assumption about the content, rather than taking the time to read the story....

Well, it is heartening to see there are still pockets of sanity out there amidst the madness.

Thank you, judges.

Come January '09, we're hoping to send you reinforcements. Hang in there until then.
