The Democrats really get this party started Monday, and Denver has rolled out the red, white and blue carpet for them.

Michelle Obama, Monday night's headline speaker on the opening day of the Democratic National Convention, arrived today with daughters Malia, 10, and Sasha, 7, and her mother, Marian Robinson, to hugs from Gov. Bill Ritter and his wife, Jeannie. Obama's husband, presumptive nominee Barack Obama, delivers his acceptance speech at Invesco Field on Thursday, the convention's final day.

Today was filled with protesters, police, parties, downtown crowds and uplifting messages.

It's a white poodle.

Michel-le calls her "Whitey", Bar-ry uses a term that denotes gender coupled with the name of his female rival for the nomination.

So here we go with Obama.

He's left his racist church which he attended and praised for 20 years.

He's called the average white person a racist like his grandma.

He's bought his house with the aid of a convect to whose interests he funneled millions of tax pay dollars

He suppressed the vote of Michigan and Florida until he finally, the night before the convention realized was a bad move.

He got the Russian invasion of a democratic state wrong, so much for the 3am call.

He got his VP pick dead wrong picking a Washington inside who voted for the war and whose own child is a lobbyist.

And he goes on a world tour to prove to the voters that he's a rock star loved by Germans, a "world citizen" and that should awe us.

And taxes will go up, he promised it, the size of government will go up, he promised us.

and lets not forget about all the Christians, those bitter, angry Christians....could he be any more offensive?

And they wonder way "progressive liberals" lose elections.

Not as long as radical progressive keep sending radical porgressives into the election.

Gore, Kerry, and now Obama.....you on the hard left have taken control of the party but you never learn why you are losing the White House.

Lieberman would have won and he would have voted through 97% of your agenda.

Did you even read the post to which you responded?

You may not think those were legitimate issues but you can be sure that a lot of Independents and Moderates do.

Here's the problem as I see it -

Republicans generally vote based on "What agenda best defines me?"

Democrats generally vote based on "Who best represents me?"

As a result - even though Dems are more consistent across the board about their beliefs and ideals, we get beaten every year because of the polarization. Republicans are more passionate about standing firm with their conservative demands then Democrats are. We Dems seem to be more than happy to allow an antiquated ideology from the 50's continue if they don't get precisely who they want in the person who carries the Dem values.

We do it to ourselves over and over and over again. And this year, we risk doing it at the cost of many more wars and many more lives.

Unfortunately, we haven't come to realize this yet. And the Republicans have.

Again, significant portions of the Democratic electorate get fooled, exploited, and courted into believing that they have a legitimate beef - ensuring another four years of this most ridiculous government in the history of this nation.

Enough is enough.

Dems are afraid to be liberal because it has been made a dirty word by radio talk show hosts.
Conservatives will vote against their own interests for fear of the commie-welfare-gun hating-tree hugging-libs. But only as we are defined by them; not as it reflects the truth.

Consequently, Dem pols think they have to compromise; move to the right, to get elected when all they have to do is to show conviction and clarity of message (over and over).

McBush:

Incredibly regressive tax cuts as shown by the Tax Policy Center
Privatize Social Security
Privatize Unemployment Insurance (People MUST read this part of his plan since it has been completely ignored by the media)
Overturn Roe v. Wade and finish putting puppets on the Supreme Court
Incredibly tepid push for Alternative Energy
Bogus gas tax, which would bankrupt the Highway Trust Fund and give almost nothing to consumers
Housing Plan that applies to at most 1/3 as many people as the plan offered by both democrats
Healthcare plan that is so bad it can actually be considered a tax hike

And that's just domestic issues

One thing I have come to conclude on the McSame campaign using Hill in their commercials ...

They are managing to ķill 3 birds with 1 stone ...

1. Destroy Sen O.'s character ( while at the same time courting Hill votes ) ...

2. Destroy Hill's future support among Democrats ( since most will see it as HER
attacking a fellow Democrat )...

3. Stay above the fray ( the man may be Old but cynicism is NOT lost on McSame )

HE ( McSame ) is single handedly decapitating the DEMOCRATIC PARTY for LIFE if we are STUPID
ENOUGH to fall for his moves ...

WAKE UP PEOPLE ... LET"S WIN THIS ...

Democrats '08 ...

It's NOT McCain, he's not bright enough for any of that. The man is an idiot.

We will win this. The only reason it looks like we aren't is because the press loves drama.

Sorry, you're to be the victim of bad timing.

The press already spent their credibility reserves to help Bar-ry defeat Hil. They can't afford to not play it straight for the rest of the campaign. Sure, they'll try to help Bar-ry as much as they can but it'll have to be subtle and Bar-ry will need more than just subtle to git er done.

Which is why I say O supporters have to look past attacking her for her comments and focus on the jerk trying to manipulate both us and the PUMAs. It does us no good to be attacking her for things she said in the past. We need to move forward and both welcome those PUMAs that will join us and show those who won't what they are voting for.

Who is attacking Hillary? We have a bunch of people who are crying about her not being the nominee even though she came in second? Why?

Very comprehensive study of why Obama beat her. The history of both campaigns.
