Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., -- heading into the convention next week and coming off of choosing his Vice President --had a phone conversation with both Bill and Hillary Clinton this week.

The presumptive democratic nominee spoke at length with President Clinton on Thursday afternoon.

"It was a broad, wide ranging conversation about what's going on in the country," Obama spokeswoman Jen Psaki says, insisting that he and the former president speak often.

When is O going to realize that nothing he can say or do will ever get these two people to genuinely support him? I wish he'd just shun them, their reign is over! And he is unwise to trust them with even a phone call.

I don't think she'd take a position in an Obama administration other than VP.

How terribly exciting. What's next? A chronicle of hair appointments and suit shopping for their convention speeches?

Can't wait for the swan song, er, catharsis next week, so this will be over.

Get ready for the film about H's life that is going to shown right before she gives her speech, another concession she got.

And the film she gets to show about her life, don't forget that, THAT ought to REALLY get her supporters going. From the Financial Times of London:

"In addition to these three concessions, Mrs Clinton negotiated the right to show a short film about her life that will air prior to her speech. Showing a biopic is a privilege normally reserved for nominees or special circumstances " such as the appreciation today that will be accorded to Ted Kennedy, the senator for Massachusetts, who was recently diagnosed with a brain tumour."

I am sure the PUMAs that are determined to pull negativity out of anything Obama will not acknowledge his consultation such as cited in this article. While I am glad that he is discussing a wide array of topics with them, particularly, I'd imagine, the upcoming convention, I do not feel it necessary for him to seek their advice or counsel on his vision of his campaign as some have suggested. I am excited to work to put them in office and head towards the change in policy and direction that this country needs.
