CBS:

Seeing yourself talk about the break-up of your marriage on the big screen is probably not what John McCain expected when he went to church this morning.

But that's exactly what happened at the North Phoenix Baptist Church today, when Pastor Dan Yeary played a clip from Rick Warren's interview with McCain last weekend where he asked him what his "greatest moral failing" was.

"The failure of my first marriage," McCain told Warren. "It's my greatest moral failure."

they should have played more of the contrasts, so that the entire congregation could contrast the thoughtful, introspective OBama with the glib McCain and see who lived their faith and who called on God only in his time of need. Their are no atheists in a foxhole or a POW camp, but John McCain, what have you done lately?

mccains answer to that is when i was a POW i had no kitchen table.
his pow'ishness, is more important than ALL of OUR issues.
WE MUST NEVER FORGET THAT JOHN MCCAIN was A POW!!!!!!!

Give me a break. The POW thing is getting old. McCain isn't the only POW in the world. There are POW's that had it alot worse than McCain. McCain is embellishing on his experience as a POW and using it for sympathy. Shame on him.

Funny that McCain stated that his first marriage failed, not that HE FAILED his first marriage. "It" didn't fail...John McCain failed his first wife!

It is beyond me that all of a sudden John McCain gets religion. This is only because he has to make a good show for the election. He used to be a episcapalian before.

Living outside the Phoenix area, our newspapers almost say NOTHING about their home boy, John. Never is there mention of him on our news shows, hardly anything written about him in the newspapers. Why if it wasn't that he is running for President of US, our state would not even know about him. I must add there is negative mention of him in the Letters to the Editor column.

Oh I wish I could've been there to tape the story. It's getting late again, and there's no Nytol in the house. It would've been perfect to listen to as I fall into dreamscape land. ZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

CAN'T IMAGINE THIS POTUS BEING A GOOD EXAMPLE OF "FAMILY MAN".

OBAMA CAMPAIGN SHOULD HAVE A AD WITH SOME OF THIS SLEEZE INCLUDED INTO IT.

Great Sermon and I am sure the 1,000 Church goers gave it their full attention

during their Sunday brunches. Hopefully they will use it to vote right on Election Day and

Vote for Obama.

John and Cindy just could not have fared any better.

To bad their isn't a video of their facial expressions and seat squirming........................... ROFL

From the party of family values no less, The same party that put Bill Clinton on trial for adultery---the one that STILLblathers on about his moral shortcomings. Those Christian traditionalist hypocrites. If Obama, or Hillary Clinton for that matter, had the same "moral failures" as McCain (serial adulterer) they wouldn't have stood a chance pre-Bill Clinton or post-Bill Clinton. Adultery, apparently, is not a deal-breaker if you a) profess to be a repentent Christian and b) are a white male. Lastly, it warrants forgiveness, as opposed to scorn, so long as you meet the requirements of a and b, AND vote Republican.

How Republican voters square this obvious hypocrisy, this moral relativism, would be baffling if it weren't for the obvious. People vote emotionally, there's nothing logical or thoughtful about it. And if there's one thing the RW machine is good at, it's whipping up the fervor of the self-righteous.

Senator John McCain is a big, old fake. I am from the PHX area and know a heck of a lot more of what's going on here from what the media portrays him as.

He also showed up this morning at a high school in PHX with another supporter to add to his list. Believe it was an entertainer of such?

Oh, and btw, just for the record,.... McCain's ranch is NOT located in Sedona, but in the small little town of Cornville. Have been through there many times. Again, he lies saying his home is in Sedona sounds more elitist given that Sedona has many multi-million dollar beautiful homes.

And just what does the good book say about Johnny's foibles

Luke 16:18
Anyone who divorces his wife and marries another woman commits adultery, and the man who marries a divorced woman commits adultery. (So Says Jesus)

Lev 20:10
And the man that committeth adultery with [another] man's wife, [even he] that committeth adultery with his neighbor's wife, the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death.

Oh oh this is serious stuff, better close it up and just wave it at other folks
