i wonder what ever happened to former Montana Gov. Mark Racicot ? Schweitzer should talk about what he thinks of him and that former governor's part in the Bush Administration and if he thinks Racicot is linked to McCain - I would like to know.

Governor Schweitzer really rocked the house! I could listen to many more speeches like that! Montana is one lucky state to have a fire-breather like that!

In 2000, I was working for Montana PBS and had the opportunity to interview a down-to-earth, enthusiastic underdog of a US Senate candidate named Brian Schweitzer. He was my assignment throughout the campaign, and on election night, it actually looked like he might unseat incumbent Conrad Burns before he finally succumbed late night to the Republican.

Even then, you could see that Schweitzer was bound for some great things. I'm so proud to have met this man.

Go Brian, Go!

Governor Schweitzer's speech last night made me stand up out of my seat (a very comfy seat, I might add) and applaud his speech. It was FANTASTIC! Why was he NOT a keynote speaker???? Warner put me to sleep almost. I might have to start following this guy the way I did Obama after his speech!

"We simply can't drill our way to energy independence. If you drilled everywhere, if you drilled in all of John McCain's backyards, even the ones he doesn't know he has, that single proposition is a dry well." -- Gov. Schweitzer

He was fantastic last night. Too bad he wasn't the keynote. He even got Bubba on his feet.

The Dems ought to give this guy a front and center position as a surrogate for the rest of the campaign. He will definitely reach those hard to get at middle America voters.

PARTY UNITY MOVEMENT ACTIVIST

I thought It was a good way to take over their name so we all can be PUMAS but with a different message. PUMAS FOR OBAMA/BIDEN08/12

I just watched a re-run on CSPAN of Governor Schweitzer's speech - enjoyed it as much today as I did live last night. What a guy! Wish we had more like him to go around the country cheerleading for O and the Democrats!! He showed how to poke jabs at the opponent, highlight our candidate's ideas, and provide audience participation in a fun and entertaining way. He's the real deal.

Go O'bama/B'iden!! Go Democrats '08 & '12!!

Shweitzer was a real surprise. But there were a lot of good speakers, including Deval Patrick, Dennis Kucinich, and Jess Jackson Jr. (I never cared much for his dad's bombastic speaking style, but I though Jackson Jr. was great).

Some of the "regular folks" who only appeared on C-Span were good, too. The union guy who got layed off three months before he was diagnosed with diabetes and has no insurance to fall back on was compelling, even though his monotone speaking style was not up to professional standards. It was what he said, not how he said it.

It's too bad Lilly Ledbetter was ignored by the corporate media; she was the inspiration for the bill to protect women's rights to equal wages that McCain helped prevent from becoming law.

Warner bombed because we expected a 10 and got a 7. Schweitzer was awesome because we expected a 5 and got a 7. I thought both had great aspects. Schweitzer's "petro-dictators" is the phrase of the campaign. That word should be used 80 times a day by the Obama campaign. I also loved Warner's line, "If we can send jobs to Bangalore and Bangladesh why can't we send them to Danville, VA?" Very powerful.

That being said, Schweitzer got me smiling more that's for sure. He did look like he was having the time of his life!

[PS - Did anyone get Bill's secret message when he sat next to Tubbs-Jones' son: I AM NOT A RACIST!]

Schweitzer's asset is he is the real macoy. He's down to earth, funny, speaks distinctly, grabs your attention and is the kind of guy you could hang out with.

Love this guy and he is a loyal O supporter.

Too bad he doesn't have the foreign policy experience cuz he or Kaine were my favorites for veep.

He's a rising star for sure.
