ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) -- Officials at Florida Hospital in Orlando say a planned Disney-themed children's hospital will serve as a model for pediatric hospitals everywhere.

Disney Children's Hospital at Florida Hospital -- the official name announced at a news conference Wednesday -- will include sophisticated, interactive technology for patients, as well as pediatric physicians who specialize in advanced, minimally invasive surgery. Walt Disney Co. has supported children's hospitals in the past, but this is the first to bear the company's name.

Disney Children's Hospital administrator Marla Silliman says the facility will be on the forefront of technology and a model for patient experience.

The new hospital is expected to be open by 2010.

A way to expand health care coverage without any governmental involvement would be to eliminate the age limit of children carried on their parent's policy and to allow children to carry their parents on their policy.

I wonder what Disney's healthcare plan is for their seasonal employees.

And this is yet another in a seemingly regular series of articles featuring HuffPo mouth to Mouse butt action. Come on you guys, what is HuffPo's relationship with Disney?

They probably hope to make as much profit from their hospital as their park.

I hear the Democrats talk about universal health care a lot this election season, we really need to put aside "feelings" and "fairness" on this debate and take a look at if we can actually afford it. Medicare has already set us on the path of $35+ TRILLION in unfender liabilities and that only covers 45 million people . . . no chance of adding another 280 million people, we will collapse under a mountain of debt.

Take a few minutes and listen to David Walker who was our Comptroller General and ran the GAO.

So will they use child labor in making and laundering their sheets (much like they utilize contractors that use child labor to make Disney store items)? Will they bring in workers from developing nations on visas, so they can pay them substandard wages (much like the workers on their cruise ships).

Seems like yet another marketing ploy to make money...
