Google/Vanity Fair Party May Take Itself Just A Tad Too Seriously

Not only does Google/Vanity Fair party make you go to the Ritz-Carlton to pick up your tickets (in accordance with the email equivalent of a clipboard-wielding velvet rope body-blocker) — they make you line up for them. This is the line.

They are, at least, serving water to thirsty line-standers. That wasn't enough to keep us there, since we have stuff to do today, presumably like most people who flew to Denver specifically for the Convention. Also, lines are for suckers, like David Brooks.

Um...see you at the party? Whatever, the CNN Grill is open 'til 2 a.m. We'll be all right.

oh, damn!!! I might be able to party with the Brooks-Master!? You know this is gonna be tight!! We might not get to bed until at least 11pm!!! Please....I would rather hang with the protesters and drink...at least they have better weed...
