Sarah Palin People Interview: Ready To Be President? "Absolutely. Yup, Yup"

People magazine scored one of the first interviews with McCain and his vice president pick Sarah Palin. In the interview they discussed Palin's resume, being a mom, her child's down syndrome and her message to woman. People also asked her about her readiness to be president:

Do you feel ready to be a heartbeat away from the presidency? SARAH: Absolutely. Yup, yup. Especially with a good team around us.

This is all just a big game to her. And in fact, in her eyes maybe it is. Shes totally unqualified, and was the scheming backstabbing mayor of a small town a couple years ago an had zero political career ahead of her. Then her entire state was pretty much raided by the FBI for being the corruption machine they were for 30 yrs and she got lucky.
I wonder how the people managing her old town's 22 million dollar debt really feel about her skills.

I am appalled at how the mainstream media are just going along with all the Republican talking points and allowing each and every one of them to state unequivocally all these things that John McCain and Sarah Palin has said to be true despite the facts that clearly go against almost every thing they say. Today I heard a citizen state on a radio show how he thinks SP relates to the common people of America and how blacks and hispanics are going to bond with her because they are the ones having many kids and early pregnancies. I got sick to my stomach. At the thought of this bizarre notion and also that the McCain camp is really selling this bull to people and they are buying it because no one is challenging it now. So that by the time the truth (hopefully) comes out he'll have his die-hards. If I had a friend who was a mother that was being investigated at her job and her teen was pregnant and she also had other children to take care of, and she tried getting her husband to stay home with them and he wouldn't. I sure wouldn't ask her if she could take over my life decisions let alone babysit for me. What the h--- is going on! Are we in a parallel universe??????

look at the cover of People magazine. Do you see any other children there. McCain and Palin used this baby as a barter device for the religous right making him fair game. Unfortunately, that chicken has come to roost with no regard for any of the other children.

This Palin person will run this Country into the ground.Not only has she destroyed her daughters life by (and I am only guessing never talked to her about condoms or birth control,because abstenence is B.S.)She has destroyed a young man who clearly stated he did not want kids into a shot-gun wedding which will probably end in five years anyway because they are children who should be planning prom and graduation not playing house.I personally do not want to have an abortion but I will fight with my life for a woman to have that choice with her body.I cry for the women of the 40's and 50's who were sterilized or died from back alley butchery that the McCain/Palin adm will definitely revive once they take over.She has clearly stated she will reverse rVw.And more recently said "Global warming is a myth".I am afraid of her like I was afraid of the witch in "The Wizard of Oz".I beg every one to listen closely to what she says,and look into her actions of the past.McCain's choice to select her was not wise it was outright dangerous.And by the way,those conservatives know good and well that had this been Chelsey,Sasha,or Malieh the dems would have been ripped to shreds.Oh I forgot, we are not suppose to talk about this...shhhhhhhh.

Good point. Actually Sarah Palin could have used other methods to squash the rumors about the parentage of her 4 month old son , without throwing her daughter's business to the media. She could have referred reporters to the doctor who delivered the baby, released her medical records, etc. There still might be some questions about the 4 month old boy. You've heard of stair-step children.

What's even more pathetic is the fact that Sarah Palin will not be giving her baby the nurturing and education he will need as a special needs child. He needs so much attention with loads of singing, talking, play with manipulative toys, and exercise. A mother of a Down's child can actually change that child's appearance, potential, and life span with constant play and brain stimulation. It is Sarah's responsibility, something that boy will remember the rest of his life. She should not leave this education to a nanny, the other children, or special teachers. She and her husband need to form a cooperative team to see that the boy has everything he needs to succeed. He cant if she thinks she has a chance to be the VP.
Let's just hope she isn't the VP and can then spend quality time with her son and raise him to his full potential.
Does anyone know of how to get a message like this to her directly and not through staff?
