A 13-year-old girl who was shot early Sunday while standing with her mother and cousins outside her great-aunt's home on the West Side has died.
Eternity Gaddy was pronounced dead at John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County at 9:22 a.m. Monday, according to a spokesman for the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.
She was shot in the head while standing with her mother and cousins outside her great-aunt's home at 2 a.m. Sunday.
The family was hours from leaving Chicago for Allentown, Pa., where they have lived on and off for the last year, family members said.
