McCain Spokesman Stumped Trying To Explain Why Palin Is Ready To Be Commander-In-Chief (VIDEO)

I Like ItI Don’t Like It
Brown And Bounds

So, I know that one of the reasons John McCain hastily chose Sarah Palin as his running-and-soul mate was because he thought that Palin would exude some general appeal to female voters, which is why she's been out on the stump talking about Hillary Clinton and the eighteen million cracks.

But how's this for a little bit of the old backlash? Say you're Campbell Brown, working professional, educated newswoman. Brown, I'd bet, knows a thing or two about glass ceilings (remember this back and forth with Hillary Clinton at one of CNN's debates?). And along comes Sarah Palin, who's basically reached third on a series of throwing errors, talking about how she's going to break that glass ceiling. And Brown recalls that old Morrissey line: "You just haven't earned it yet, baby."

Hmmmm. You see, it's not just that Brown, faced with the prospect of chasing Tucker Bounds all around the barnyard like he's some kind of stuttering, idiotic chicken, sticks with insisting that Bounds answer a simple and direct question. It's that Brown infuses the proceedings with that little extra dose of extra-special sadistic glee that makes it twice as nice to watch and gives rise to all of my furtive speculations, above.

Watch for yourself, and tell me Brown isn't enjoying this:

And, for the first time I can remember in my entire life, the conservative media is asking a few hard questions to the GOP. Of course, it's still not equal, but it's better than during the two Bush campaigns, where the media supported him fully.

I recall Americans blaming the media for NOT ASKING QUESTIONS during the build up to the Iraq War. We wanted to pass the buck as citizens and say "Hey Reporter, do your job". Now when the media does press politicians and their mouthpieces, citizens get indignant. Do we want to know FACTS or just IMAGE? Don't tie the hands of the media again on the build up to the most crucial election in American history. A question is a question. LISTEN for the answers this time.

Way to go, Campbell Brown!

Please, please please can I see more of this. Stop their talking points when they spout lies, make them back up what they say, and get them to answer the questions put to them (they won't but at least America gets to see there are NO answers). Thank you to MSM, when you do your job this well!

Just like Giuliani on sunday morning when asked a direct question about Mayor Mom he started immediately tearing Obama apart. That is their strategy.

Yes, experience is key if you want to be taken seriously. Like experience with correct spelling.

"NO COMMENT" - shout all you want but there will be comment. Read jayla60 on the pass the press has given Prez Bushleague on Iraq (and everything else). No pooooor little miss Goody Two Shoes' spokesman gets his comeuppance and you complain people are being "sexist"!? Get serious b/c this election is deadly serious to those who take the time to understand the issues.

The press needs to be a lot more like Campbell Brown and a lot less like Sean Hannity (Mr. Puffball interviewing her highness, Princess Pinocchio). Get tough, press. Get serious. Ask all the questions you want to Obama, Biden, McCain and the sugarplum fairy.

I'm just amazed that the Mc campaign expects to make this grand announcement about a veep pick and then refuse to let her interview or even for anyone to ask any questions about her.

We've been hearing ad nauseum: We don't know who he is...We don't know what his policies are...He doesn't share our values.

Now when we, legitimately are saying the same about the R VP, it's HANDS OFF! You're being sexist! You're attacking her!

How the heck are we supposed to find out about this person? Oh, I know: we're supposed to just trust Big Daddy to do what's best for us and shut the hell up.

Journalistic integrity to be sure. Something most repugnican/neocon/watchers of fox simply cannot fathom. Go Campbell! More of the same!

John McCain thinks women are stupid. He thinks they are willing to vote against their own interest just because he's chosen to pander.
