After enduring a stormy divorce, Sir Paul McCartney''s romantic life finally appears to be sailing along quiet smoothly.

The former Beatle took to the water with millionaire New York socialite Nancy Shevell this week, the affectionate pair sharing a tender kiss as the cruised along off the coast of New York's Long Island.

The singer's modest Sunfish dinghy, named after his first wife Linda, has long been his treasure.

He has said: 'It's my antidote to chaos. I like the freedom, the peace.'

McCartney, 65, and Shevell, 47, have been seeing each other with increasingly regularity since last November.

I'm no Dr. Phil (thank God!), but maybe Paul ought to take a year off from these non-stop relationships and learn to be comfortable in his own skin, first.
