Sarah Palin's youngest daughter Piper is just six, but she proved a natural in front of the cameras at the RNC and rallies as she waved to the crowds at every opportunity. At one point while her mother was speaking at the RNC, Piper held her baby brother Trig and was even seen licking her hand and smoothing the baby's hair. Scroll for that video.

Sarah Palin is an opportunistic back stabber who has no business in this campaign, and absolutely no qualifications for vice president.

Piper Palin is a beautiful, innocent child who loves her little brother without reservation, and who brought me my single smile during her mother's smilingly vitriolic speech.

I would sooner vote for the six year old. She, at least, has not yet adopted her mother's selfish quest for unearned power.

I have no quarrel with any of those kids. They will have to suffer their mother's ambition for the rest of their lives.

I think the gesture was rather sweet. I cannot see anything nasty about it. For those of us that are women and go to the Dr. once a year you have NO idea where there hands have been, and I am sure that you think that is real clean.

That was my first thought. My second was what germs did she pass on. And then the other sister was holding him on the tarmac and put his pacifier in her mouth. I am sure that she then put it back in his mouth. They have no clue.

The first baby, when the pacifier falls on the floor you sterilize it immediately. The second child, you wipe it off on your shirt and return it to the kid. The third child you put the kid on the ground and let him pick it up himself.

Let's be kind to the child:

We *do not* know if this gesture was planned by adults, so let's give it the benefit of the doubt that it was instinctive.

The gesture was one of love and affection for the baby.

It was rather unhygienic ( needs more training from mom. )

It was kinda endearing.

I will have to say that this is the most heated election season I can remember. However, for anyone to doubt the absolute innocence of a small child is ASTOUNDING! Children are just that--children. If Piper continues this behavior into her teens and 20's, OK raise the dialogue then.

Piper Palin was the first member of the speaker's family to realize she should stand up and wave to the crowd when her mom referred to her ... and she got her big sister to stand up and do the same. That deserves some credit. It doesn't effect who I'm voting for, but I'm a fan of this little girl. I cringed later when she licked her hand, but am I really the only one who noticed her presence of mind earlier in the speech?

Now that most of the little chunks have been approved let me try the big one again. The level of hatred shown by the slime here is as sickening as the slime themselves. The slime that makes rude and crude sexual comments about the three Palin girls and then states that they should not be around Senator McCain as he is a child molester. I really can not remember saying anything negative about the Obama children or about his wife. Certainly I did not make vulger sexual comment about either his wife or children. As a matter of fact I complemented Senator Obama for his comments on leaving the families out of this fight in an earlier comment on this same section. Family is not fair game.
