palin was, well, palin.....
but, all said and done, the dems kicked the reps asses!
the genuinosity of the democratic convention vs the republics fakery and posing to be agents of some sort of change that involves drilling here and drilling now and bomb bomb bombing iran and not helping americans unless they already make a gazillion dollars, or they live on the gulf coast in september of 2008 and not 2005, is CLEAR.

the walk off music says it all

So this ain't the end - I saw you again today
I had to turn my heart away
Smiled like the Sun - kisses for everyone
And tales - it never fails!

You LYING so low in the weeds
I bet you gonna ambush me
You'd have me down on my knees
Now wouldn't you, Barracuda?

Back over Time we were all trying for free
Met up with porpoise and me
No right no wrong you're SELLING a Song - a name
Whisper game

If the real thing don't do the trick
You better MAKE UP something quick
You gonna burn into the wick
Aren't you, Barracuda?

"SELL ME SELL YOU" the porpoise said
Dive down deep now save my head
You... I think you got the blues too.

All that night and all the next
Swam without looking back
Made for the western pools -YOU FOOLS

If the real thing don't do the TRICK No!
You better make up something quick
You gonna BURN into the wack

I know it's a silly thing to notice but I am struck by the overwhelming use of hair coloring by Republicans both women and men. Hairspray is also abundant.
Do you think those toxins seep into their brains and make it easier for them to make up their stories?
With all that bleach or peroxide base chemical does it turn them so pasty in tone?
i also noticed a few of them have a fold of skin under their chins where they are able to peel it back to reveal their reptilian heads. Most of the folds are covered by comb-overs, hairpieces, and big diamond earrings.
Just an observation.

maybe that's why we didn't see minorities ....those poor suckers, they didn't have peroxide, hairpieces or diamonds

for anyone who wants an insight to the RNConvention, the Republican Party and the entire Conservative Right in this country you should read the following article Army, Flag and Cross.

http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article20625.htm

"The cleverest part of the ribbon was the last section, hanging below the “Support Our Troops” slogan. It was red-and-white striped, intended to carry forward the American flag theme. But a subtle suggestion of a white sunburst joined with the vertical white stripe and overlaid it with a faint horizontal white stripe. It didn’t take me more than a few seconds to realize that this was intended to be a subtle evocation of the Christian cross.

There it was encapsulated, complete, uncut, pure: the symbolic essence of an America that has drifted far from civilization, an America that has grown very, very strange. The America that bumper sticker symbolizes has left behind the world of rational nation-states and slipped off into a sentimental realm of Romanticism."

Hey look at that photo. Palin has really got that point-into-the-crowd thing down.
And people say she's not qualified to be vice president!

How cheesy was that entrance for John McCain, the one who states that he doesn't relate to celebrity? Can this campaign get any worse? I thought I was going to sit and hear what he had to say, but I don't think that I can stomach it.... aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh.

Someone is working very hard to clean the internet of the literature that could reveal the real Palin.

On the clip linked below she fails to object to the language being used for her pleasure in slander of a woman senator that I understand is a cancer survivor. The senator is called "a cancer", "a bitch", and someone who should "go away". In the context "go away" clearly means "die". Palin laughs through most of the hate talk, and concludes the session with her seal of approval for the hate-monger.

Lots of clips that were available on youtube 2 nights ago have been pulled down.

Just got back from watching the New York-Washington NFL game, only to watch GOP delegates' feeble attempts to dance to Kool and the Gang's "Celebration"... That was painful...

Oh well, I guess it's McCain time...

Apparently the way to win the respect of the GOP is to pack heat and have a teenage daughter that's pregnant.
