Who's Sony going to call to pen its reboot of "Ghostbusters?"

Gene Stupnitsky and Lee Eisenberg.

The studio has recruited "The Office" writer-producers to work on a new installment of the 1980s franchise that starred Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson and Harold Ramis as bumbling ghost-hunting scientists.

The original filmmakers, including director Ivan Reitman, and cast are aware of the project and involved in its development. Some original cast members might be involved, but not in central roles.

Sometimes I don't like the hotdog approach to things, and it is why I wait for something better. It's like when you are disappointed at Christmas. No one should set such height's so high they can't reach them.

So, let me get this straight: you were up on a ladder, attempting to put a hotdog on top of a christmas tree? Why would you do such a thing? Don't you know there are ornaments for just that purpose? Besides, the hotdog could be used for better purposes.

Bill is sensitive, but you don't see it. He just is getting over a bitter divorce, and forgets how much the public laughs with him. because we all need a clown, and he is our best.

Even #1 wasn't as good as itself.

They'll have to bring back Mr. Staypuff. Zool was Slavitsa Jovan. The actress is my long lost friend. She is a serious actress. Serious. This could make life easier for her. I would hire her again. She was good.

Guess everybody needs a payday. Just hope they can find a jumpsuit big enough for Dan Akyroyd.

Oh dear - this is probably a disaster in progress. The 3rd movie (except Lord of the Rings) always falls flat or just $tink$.

It's ok, the Mob bankrolled the film.

Akroyd has had a G3 script for decades. If he's involved with the writers, it will be awesome.

I'm still trying to wrap my brain around the fact that the original Ghostbusters was 25 years ago!

It sounds like a remake. Just what we all need. Doesn't anyone out there in Hollywood have an original thought anymore?

Sure they do, but the big studios won't fund those projects. No balls any more.

I always like the second film more then the first mainly because there was more scenes between the 4 Ghostbusters. You get to see the four of them interact a LOT more and see how good their friendship is. Erine Hudson's character didn't really appear in the first movie until the very middle of it and by that time the climax of the film was approaching. Both are great (the first has more memorable scenes as well) but the development between the characters in the second film is why I like that one a bit more.

Not sure how I'd feel about a third one. Though it could be interesting if the originals are in supporting roles.

I didn't see the sequal but the original is a work of art. I will never forget the scene in the NYC public library and the three guys scampering down the stairs afterwards. Classic stuff.

GB2 was pretty much just a remake of the original. I hope that they can come up with something original for 3 or it will be just a waste of money.
