My First Convention: Pat Buchanan

It's Pat! Feisty former presidential candidate and frequent MSNBC commentator Pat Buchanan has been in this game a long time. Put it this way: His first convention memories include Nixon. Also, however much traffic you had to sit through thanks to protesters here, he was at the '68 convention, thank you very much. Also, he's a sharp dresser. Basically, I wish he hadn't had to go on MSNBC so that we could have chatted some more, but I like to think that I warmed him up for Chris Matthews. Nonetheless, we had him for a minute and a half, which on the evening news would be an extraordinarily in-depth story, so please relax, sit back, click, and enjoy. Thanks Pat!

The only thing that could have brought me to the otherwise nauseating Republican Convention would have been the prospect of being interviewed by the lovely Ms. Sklar. Pat, Trent, Kevin, and any of the other repugs fortunate enough to have come in contact with this Canadian goddess should consider themselves very, very lucky.
