I work at a CBS affiliate and watched this live at as it was happening. Having to see The Early Show day after day I can vouch for how dull it is. Therefore, when a spontaneous moment like this occurs it really stands out. I was particularly amused by Maggie Rodriguez's double-take and her line about "people are eating breakfast.­"

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is considering filing a lawsuit that would take tuna sushi off the market in response to concerns about lab tests conducted for a New York Times article. Researchers found so much mercury in raw tuna sushi—mostly bluefin—that a regular diet of just six pieces a week could pose a health hazard and exceed the levels considered acceptable by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)." Come on, he's joking. In other interviews he's done over 20 years he's said that song is about nostalgia. I think he just wanted to cause a stir on a relatively conservative morning news show. Probably that Canadian sense of humor. Rush gives silly answers like this also in interviews about their songs. (My god, I'm a Rush fan and I can't believe I just lumped these two artists together!)
