I work at a CBS affiliate and watched this live at as it was happening. Having to see The Early Show day after day I can vouch for how dull it is. Therefore, when a spontaneous moment like this occurs it really stands out. I was particularly amused by Maggie Rodriguez's double-take and her line about "people are eating breakfast."

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is considering filing a lawsuit that would take tuna sushi off the market in response to concerns about lab tests conducted for a New York Times article. Come on, he's joking. In other interviews he's done over 20 years he's said that song is about nostalgia. I think he just wanted to cause a stir on a relatively conservative morning news show. Probably that Canadian sense of humor. Rush gives silly answers like this also in interviews about their songs. (My god, I'm a Rush fan and I can't believe I just lumped these two artists together!)
