PMc: First iPhone-Only Magazine Set To Launch

The most fashionable cell phone on the market is about to get even more so.

Hot Phone Hit Factory, a New York-based startup media company, is set to unveil PMc magazine, which will be one of the first--if not the first--original editorial offerings created exclusively for Apple's iPhone. The twice-monthly digital title--sold for 99 cents an issue via iPhone's App store--should debut by Sept. 10, just in time for Fashion Week in New York.

PMc stands for Patrick McMullan, the title's chief photographer who's best known for shooting the likes of Andy Warhol and partygoers at the legendary Studio 54 in New York.

McMullan and publisher Michael Isbell, a former critic at the fanboy movie site Ain't It Cool News, are hoping to shape PMc into a luxury fashion magazine that leverages the iPhone's aesthetic and unique user interface. "The iPhone provides a really unique opportunity in the business," said Isbell. "This is the third platform [we've been waiting for]. It's just a fact that the iPhone is a beautiful device. And our magazine is beautiful."
