Michael Phelps Lifts "Tonight Show" To Best Ratings Since June

The Hollywood Reporter's Paul J. Gough reports that Michael Phelps lifted the "Tonight Show" to its best ratings since June:

Record-breaking Olympic gold medalist Michael Phelps keeps working his magic on NBC.

Monday's "Tonight Show With Jay Leno" with guest star Phelps gave the late-night talker its best ratings since June 17. "Tonight" averaged a 4.1 household metered-market rating/10 share, Nielsen Media Research said Tuesday.

YEAH! As the mom of a competative swimmer, I'm THRILLED that MP is getting all this attention. Maybe now people will realize swimming is a sport and not something to do when you're bored in the summer.
