CBS Forces YouTube To Take Down "Misleading" McCain Ad

Politico:

YouTube has removed a webad that casts Sarah Palin as the victim of sexism on the request of CBS, whose anchor Katie Couric was featured in the ad.

"One of the great lessons of that campaign is the continued and accepted role of sexism in American life," Couric is quoted in the ad.

In the original clip, she was talking about Hillary Clinton; the ad applies her words to Sarah Palin.

Does CBC, ABC, NBC or any of their bobbleheads need to endorse a candidate?

Since the have been carrying water and shilling for John McCain why would they need to"endorse"?

Chris Matthews from MSNBC last night tore into McCain's surrogate and did a beautiful job at exposing this ad for what it was and he demanded McCain have it removed. Chris you were fantastic and deserve alot of praise for your courage. Thank you for taking a risk and taking a stand to do the right thing. This was an awful, awful lie, and reflects on the McCain campaign for the unprincipled people they are proving themselves to be.

HELLO! Is anyone home. This is the tech age and you people are reading this from a terminal hooked to the internet and I hope will respond to this on the internet. So ask yourself something. How is it that you can read and respond to it within a few seconds but the MASS MEDIA can’t even get information that they have proven wrong just an hour before to the commentator or newsperson so that they won’t allow this kind of stupidity to even be repeated. Why is it that on the major news outlets the top story is LIPSTICK ON A PIG? Why is it that you are only hearing that small town values are the only values that are right and that they are the only ones who have died for their country? What kind of crap is this? Just because I was raised in the city I don’t count. But what do we hear in the media on a daily basis? And the worst part is that its not just the conservative right wing media, its all of them.

It’s plain to see that this is not just an isolated case. More news for them and the country stays in a downward spiral that they are more than happy to cover. ENOUGH! Don’t let them get away with this. Flood the media outlets with your comments and make them do the right thing.

I would not minimize the impact Sarah Palin is having on this election and I would not count on finding a scandal that is going to stop her momentum.

So far this desperate Hail Mary pass by McCain seems to be working, she has managed to catch the football in a crowd of defenders on the one yard line and they are threatening to score and win the game.

If the republicans continue to put Obama on the defensive for the next week or 2, this election is lost.

Obama must realize that Palin has changed the game completely and at this point unless they find something incriminating against her this election is McCain's to lose.

Instead of the dems whining about how unfair and deceitful the republicans are, we must start getting more aggressive and start putting them on the defensive.

The Obama folks should reserve a half hour of network TV time and give another compelling speech like he did to squash the race controversy swirling around the Rev Wright fiasco.

All sane and concerned Democrats and Independents should be very nervous about the direction this campaign is going, there is just too much at stake to let another election cycle slip away into neocon control we must fight back like the survival of the planet depended on us.

This campaign is rapidly becoming an exercise in deja vu. It is beginning to remind me of most of the entire Bush administration.

We have the Obama "lipstick" comment which any halfway objective viewer can see contains absolutely no reference whatsoever to Sarah Palin. But the McCain camp says it does and keeps saying it does, so it does? Somehow, a complete and obvious fabrication is transformed into some sort of semi-truth.

It reminds of many episodes during Bush's admin, but especially the completely fabricated idea he planted in the public's mind that Saddam was responsible for 9/11 back in 2002.

I never supported McCain but knowing that he can watch this sort of stuff go on in his name has taken my opinion of him to lows I did not think possible.

..any other 'inquiring" minds wonder WHERE the 4month old got whisked away to during the past ten day campaign stump where BOTH Ma and Pa were hitting the trail with McC ? A 4month old special needs infant , whose greates bonding is with the mother whose womb he sprung from but now distanced at a critical continued bonding time. True, should NOT be paraded in the crowd, but the sked alone allows for little FULL attention to be tended to his needs so can but guess perhaps sent off with the Teen daughter to practice care and nurturing skills for her pending arrival.
