CTA Loop Signaling Project Year Behind Schedule

CTA Loop Signaling Project Year Behind Schedule

The CTA is running 377 days behind schedule on its project to modernize train signals in the Loop, Chris Bushell, CTA manager of power and way, told the Chicago Transit Authority Board Wednesday.

The project to update the 40-year-old is now expected to finish in spring 2010 instead of next year, the Tribune reported. And whenever it is completed, the project is likely to cost more than the budgeted $100 million.
