Elisabeth Hasselbeck Rips Michelle Obama At RNC: "Something To Hide"

"The View" co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck, the show's token conservative and an ardent supporter of John McCain, appeared at the Republican National Convention in St. Paul last week and spoke at an event honoring Cindy McCain. Given that "The View" is a necessary destination for the candidates and their wives this year, Hasselbeck felt qualified to explain the difference between Cindy McCain and Michelle Obama, though she avoided singling Obama out by name:

"Cindy came into our hair and makeup room, fresh as can be, and unlike another wife of a political candidate who shall remain nameless, she didn't come with a list of topics that we weren't allowed to touch. Nope, that's because she has nothing to hide."

Ms. Hasselbeck's claim to fame is that her husband plays football, and she is a blonde (I apologize to my blonde girlfriends)! She shoots off her mouth much like Bush, no wonder she's a Repugnikan! Her conservative views sound as though she reads from the same playbook as the other war-mongers. And yet she has the nerve to be flippant and wrong! It is also 1 reason I can't take too much of the view.

Speculation is a kind of thinking..­... projecting your own views onto others and then acting like they are fact based, or worse "truth". Ms. Hasselbeck is woefully immature in her thinking. She relishes gossip as evidenced by her various comments of "The View".

What has Hasselbeck ever done to make her an expert in politics? This lady's "claim to fame" was being on a season of Survivor before The View took mercy and gave her sorry butt a job. Please. Who cares what she thinks?

How did someone like Elisabeth Hasselbeck even get hired to be on such a great show as The View. She does not even fit in with the other great hosts; she has nothing to contribute to the platform? For her to make the lame mistake of trying to "rub elbows" with Michelle Obama is totally embarrassing for herself, her co-hosts, and Barbara Walters, her boss. Barbara Walters is a class act to follow. Why does she have such a "small-minded person with tunnel vision", limited knowledge, and limited experience on her staff?

She seems to imply that Michelle Obama was not "fresh", as your other guest was "fresh". It was a live show, and I could imagine that Michelle only wanted to make sure that whatever she discussed was what she wanted to reveal at that time to the world. More lies to imply that Senator Barack Obama and his family has something to hide, when his whole life and history has been made an open book from the day he decided to run for the office (unlike someone else with a whole lot of skeletons in their closet).

Does that explain why Elisabeth, on the morning that Senator Obama appeared on the show,
decided to offer a "hand of welcome" to the NEXT PRESIDENT, when each of the other co-hosts hugged and welcomed the Senator? Check the film; for you see, the film just doesn't lie. VOTE, AMERICA, VOTE......­.OBAMA-BID­EN 2008......­..........­YES WE CAN!!!!

Does her opinion really matter? I mean, why quibble over someone who is incapable of offering profound insight into any situation, let alone this one? It is insulting to women everywhere that a network would chose Hasselbeck to represent/appeal to the younger female demographic for The View. Back on point, we need to focus on the important issues (Iraq, healthcare, economy, etc.) and stop wasting precious time on inane subjects like "freshness" and "lipstick". These lame distractions will eventually be democracy's undoing.
