Actually, there was another politician who was even less qualified than Palin who caused an even bigger media frenzy. His name is Barack Hussein Obama.

Do you feel better now that you made this statement? I hope so!

Go Barack!

You are so right, Phil123.........What was Barack HUSSEIN Obama's experience and qualifications?

NO experience running anything at all. A Senator is not in control of people, budgets, crises, or anything else. All they do is debate issues, and vote. (And in Obama's case, the vote is usually "Present.")

Sorry, but being a Senator does not stack up AT ALL against being a Governor, or even a small town Mayor.

Obama's experience? None.

People like Palin, are the reason the entire world thinks the US is bonkers. I guess your one of the people who fall in the Bonkers category.

"The entire world" is not limited to you small set of friends.

In fact, more than half of Americans will vote for the McCain Palin ticket this November. Your candidate is unqualified, and your party has no gentlemen. How the Democrats have treated two qualified women is a disgrace.

Man. How refreshing will it be to have this man conversing with us like this from the Oval Office or the WH lawn. Truth, humor and charisma, with a dash of humility.

The awakening from our national nightmare.

Yeah, the "national nightmare" would begin if ever Barack HUSSEIN Obama makes it to the White House

Humility? Barack "Apollo" Obama is a bombastic elitist. Don't worry about seeing him in the White House. He's already blown this election because of his hubris.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE BARACK OBAMA! HE IS GOING TO BE A PHENOMENAL PRESIDENT. ALL OF YOU WHO ARE WAITING ON THE SIDELINES SHOULD GET ABOARD THE OBAMA TRAIN. JOHN MCCAIN'S POPULARITY HAS FINALLY ARRIVED BECAUSE OF HIS VICE PRESIDENTIAL CHOICE. ARE WE CHOOSING AN ABSOLUTELY AWESOME PRESIDENT (OBAMA) OR VOTING FOR VICE PRESIDENT. AMERICA....LET'S NOT LOSE OUR MINDS AND FURTHER OUR POOR REPUTATION TO THE NATIONS! LET'S GET IT RIGHT BY CHOOSING BARACK OBAMA!

Come on, people. Obama is witty, logical, self-effacing, a disarming personality. Not that these are qualities necessary to be POTUS, but I can see how Obama could be amazingly effective in dealing with every walk of life -- off camera, on the world stage, negotiating, cajoling, influencing. What a refreshing change from where we've been these past eight years. Go Obama!

He said it he meant it. I got no problem with it. You can put all the lipstick in the world on Sarah Palin and she's still a ditz.

Remember when Hillary said that Obama hadn't done his spadework? Same thing.

No big deal. No harm no foul.

Can we move on?? I somewhat interested in other issues. LIKE THE ECONOMY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In contrast to McCain's sense of humor in which he told a filthy joke about a teen-aged Chelsea Clinton's appearance and accused her mother of being a lesbian. And how about that joke about how women enjoy being raped.

Man, he has the best sense of humor... McCain's sense of humor? Mean and scary... there's something wrong, with McCain. Someone always seems to have to the a 'target' with his brand of humor: Reno, Chelsea, rape victims... aye yi yi.

Obama should go on Oprah again....

That would be a great forum to really get his message out

use what you got..and Oprah is defintely a force that can be used for good

She won't use her show for that. She's been on the air over 20 years and never use the show for political influence. That's integrity. She never even said before this year who she preferred. She had BOTH presidential candidates on way back in 2000 and she even said I usually don't have anyone buit I will allow BOTH a seperate day. I saw both come on. Bush was appalling, simple, and kept with the corny expressions. Gore was funny believe it or not. Kept teasing Oprah about her red boots she had on that day.

She stayed neutral. She had Hillary, Bill, Oreilly, Obama you name it way before there was even an election. They were on about books or something. Oreilly was on because he was whining about never being on Oprah. He put on his phony good behaviour routine. He didn't want to go up against O. I think Hillary had the most appearances in the past.

Big mistake and would it look desperate. Obama needs to do something. Put John Edwards out there on the stump now! That will suck all the air from the Sarah Palin bubble.

Nope. Keep Edwards out of it. He has discredited himself, at leat for the time being. Maybe he can redeem himself, but so far he hasn't. And i say that as one of his strongest supporters.

Hillary Clinton has to step up to the plate. She cheerfully and willingly provided the sight and sound bite that McCain is using in his commercials against Obama...the one in which she claims that she and McCain are qualified to be president and Obama isn't. She must have known that it would be used against Obama if he were nominated, but that didn't stop her. Katie Couric made them stop using a misleading sight and sound bite featuring herself. Hillary just sits on her hands and allows it to happen.

If she wants to rejoin the party, she had better start calling off her pack of raging pit-bulls NOW by explaining exactly what a McCain Palin victory would do for women's rights.

I don't expect her to do it though. She is still trying to punish Obama and the people who chose him over her, and--as she did in 2000 and 2004 when she campaigned only in the most slipshod and perfunctory way for Democratic presidential candidates, she is trying to keep the seat warm for herself in 2012.

The only way to vindicate her handing the McCain campaign Obama's head on a platter would be to step in now and EXPLAIN to her supporters what Palin is really up to.
