Geraldo Rivera Slips And Falls On Air While Reporting On Ike (VIDEO)

Fox News reporter Geraldo Rivera got smacked around a bit today while reporting on Hurricane Ike from the Galveston, Texas sea wall.

Geraldo was knocked down by a wave while on camera. A neighboring fireman came rushing to his aide as Geraldo remarked, "I know I'm going to be the star of YouTube now." Yup, you reported that right, Geraldo.

Whats his purpose standing there? Why is he out there? Is he interviewing the hurricane? What does the hurricane have to say about the prez race?

Does his personally standing there add any more knowledge of the situation that could not be done by slapping a camera out there and having him report from a nice safe studio much farther north? Nope

So yes... its funny to see him fall down and get swept away. Its funny to see him grabbing a tree just to stand upright. Its funny because thats why he is there. His purpose is to force us to watch and wait for his very entertaining and nationally televised pain, embarrassment and/or immenent destruction. No other reason for him to stand there other than to keep us foolishly fixated on the screen watching him be a fool. So don't get all high and mighty about the rest of us laughing at him.
