Lohan Palin

Lindsay Lohan has joined Matt Damon and Pam Anderson criticizing VP candidate Sarah Palin, this time as a "narrow minded, media obsessed homophobe." On her official myspace page, she and girlfriend Sam Ronson have written a lengthy, measured post on Sarah Palin. Ronson posted the same piece on her blog. Earlier this month Lohan encouraged the press the focus on the issues when it comes to Palin

In the new post the pair point to Palin's lack of experience, her recent desire to be a television anchor and her belief in saving and converting gay people.

UH OH!
Current mood: shocked

I really cannot bite my tongue anymore when it comes to Sarah Palin.

I couldn't be more supportive of a woman in office, but let's face it, it comes down to the person, and their beliefs, male or female.

Is it a sin to be gay? Should it be a sin to be straight? Or to use birth control? Or to have sex before marriage? Or even to have a child out of wedlock?

I find it quite interesting that a woman who now is running to be second in command of the United States, only 4 years ago had aspirations to be a television anchor. Which is probably all she is qualified to be... Also interesting that she got her passport in 2006.. And that she is not fond of environmental protection considering she's FOR drilling for oil in some of our protected land.... Well hey, if she wants to drill for oil, she should DO IT IN HER OWN backyard. This really shows me her complete lack of real preparation to become the second most powerful person in this country.

Hmmmm-All of this gets me going-Fear, Anxiety, Concern, Disappointment, and Stress come into play...

Is our country so divided that the Republicans best hope is a narrow minded, media obsessed homophobe?

I know that the most important thing about this election is that people need to exercise their right to vote, regardless of their choice... I would have liked to have remained impartial, however I am afraid that the "lipstick on a pig" comments will overshadow the issues and the fact that I believe Barack Obama is the best choice, in this election, for president...

Palin's Desire to "save and convert the gays"-really??

According to this Associated Press story, the church of Alaska Governor Sarah Palin is hosting a kind of conference devoted to the "conversion of Gays" -- no kidding.

Here's the AP text:

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) ? Gov. Sarah Palin's church is promoting a conference that promises to convert gays into heterosexuals through the power of prayer.

You'll be encouraged by the power of God's love and His desire to transform the lives of those impacted by homosexuality," according to the insert in the bulletin of the Wasilla Bible Church, where Palin has prayed since she was a child.

Palin's conservative Christian views have energized that part of the GOP electorate, which was lukewarm to John McCain's candidacy before he named her as his vice presidential choice. She is staunchly anti-abortion, opposing exceptions for rape and incest, and opposes gay marriage and spousal rights for gay couples.

http://zennie2005.blogspot.com/2008/09/sarah-palins-church-hosts-anti-gay.html

I feel it's necessary for me to clarify that I am not against Sarah Palin as a mother or woman.

Women have come a long way in the fight to have the choice over what we do with our bodies... And its frightening to see that a woman in 2008 would negate all of that.

Oh, and...Hint Hint Pali Pal- Don't pose for anymore tabloid covers, you're not a celebrity, you're running for office to represent our, your, my COUNTRY!

And in the words of Pamela Anderson, "She can suck it"..

Lindsay- "I have faith that this country will be all that it can be with the proper guidance. I really hope that all of you make your decisions based on the facts and what feels right to you in your heart-vote for obama!"

Samantha- "I love this country- however i wasn't born here and don't have the right to vote- so i beg of you all to really do your research and be educated when you cast your vote this coming november.... and if you're in doubt- vote for obama! Mainly because if she gets elected my green card probably won't get renewed!!!"

xoxo

Sarah Palin's views on homsexuality are offensive. Our society was gaining awareness and acceptance and moving forward in allowing those to be who they are because the truth is-no one, not even Sarah Palin can explain where homosexual tendencies stem from. With that in mind, if they are derived from parents, their influence, environmental causes, or genetics, how can one be "transformed" later in life? If one could prove these natural emotions were a result of outside influences or early childhood experiences, that would suggest our society is to blame for this outcome, not individuals. Therefore, Sarah Palin's theory to "transform" would be a direct attack on our society in an attempt to "fix" problems caused by those who created them.

I wonder if she had a child who had tendencies or wanted to experiment, if they too would be enrolled in her "school of conversion?"

Her glasses are as transparent as her lack of international experience and views on humanity.

OW! Lindsey goes out on a limb and tries to fit in with the other one view, one world libs in Hollywood and Obama says thanks, but no thanks. Lindsey, you have to remember that Obama does not need you while he is convincing everyone that he is not a left wing liberal. Poor girl, she must feel rejected by Mr. Unity and Hope.

LOL I love it:
"Lohan ''is not exactly the kind of high-profile star who would be a positive for us," a top source on the Obama team told the paper." from AP

I guess there is no end to Obama's elitist attitude!

This woman, 23 or 25, after being the after dinner mint of the likes of Grog Clooney (documented on Conan O'Brian) since she was 14 or 15 has had enough. And says nothing. She is a poster child for dysfunction, normality, family orientation. Of course she is a democrap. Hollywook is a sewer and that is the demo for crap.

Ronson and Lohan are right. This woman is pure evil. I am straight and I am offended by her. Her attitude is beyond bitchy, its just mean and hypocritical as hell. Who the hell do these fundementalists think they are, to dicate or try to force thier agandas on the public? Basta, Enough. The woman didn't have the balls to confess her child had a kid out of wedlock, pretended it was hers, faked a pregnancy story to gain support for herself. Come on. I would hate to hear what she has to say about Italians or any other ethnic group, people who are in wheel chairs, heavy, blind, deaf, short, or not in her eyes perfect. The woman has no business near political office, she is a public embarrassment. To my niece, and any other people who happen to be gay, like Madeline Albright once said. "There is a special place in hell for women who dont' help other women, support them, or thier rights." Ms. Albright is correct.

So I guess with your warped mind you think Palin is going to hell while women who chose to kill their unborn children will be lined up at the pearly gates? I would bet that hell has a special place for people that decide to end the life of an unborn because they feel it is "their right".

Or even after the baby is born according to the law that Obama voted against designed to protect victims of botched abortions.

at 6 weeks a pregnancy is a blob of fluid. its a gestational sac. that's it. most abortions are performed in that time period. the argument isn't about whether a pregnancy that early is alive. sure it is. sperm and eggs are alive too. so is our skin hair and nails. whether abortion is legal or not it will still happen just as it has throughout history. the point is that no one should be forced to allow their body to be used for the survival of another against their will. just as we shouldn't be able to force someone to be hooked up to another person who is in kidney failure so that the healthy persons kidneys will clean the blood of both people.

our focus shouldn't be on abortion, it should be on prevention. comprehensive sex ed (including abstinence), available and affordable birth control, and financial aid for persons who cannot afford to care for their children will do much more than any law making abortion illegal ever could. abortion is the symptom of a problem, and making it illegal is like putting a bandaid on a broken leg.

every person should be free to make their own reproductive decisions. whether that be birth control, sterilization, adoption, fertility treatments, never having children, or abortion is up to them. i will never, barring a medical emergency, have an abortion. that is my choice. but if you want people to choose what you think is right then there has to be an actual choice. otherwise they are doing it because they have no other options and then it has nothing to do with them making the right decision for themselves, their lives, and their families.

Lindsay isn't a mental giant...so what? She's not running for VP! You guys are being too hard on her for some strange reason. Reread the post and look for the truth in what she's saying...and stop making progressives look like jackasses. Everybody deserves to be treated with dignity and respect.

Funny how when the likes of Brittany Spears speaks out in support of Bush you libs and neodems mock her and the GOP, yet when the likes of Lindsay Lohan and Pamela Anderson criticize the GOP you act like they are policital pundits whose words define a generation.

No !!! What is funny is that these two losers actually received 395 comments over this. They aren't worth anybodys time. Especially this much. Shhh ! Maybe they will just go away.

ya know what, normally I would agree with you, but thsi time they are correct about Sarah Palen. They have a right like you and me to voice thier rights as free speech. This is America. You dont have to agree with them, or thier lifestyle, but you should at least put them in the same class as the rest of the people. They re still people, right or wrong, its not our call. Palen is a viscious, angry, constipated, female. Attacking anyone who might be different, have a different view, shows how small minded she really is. This isn't about giving lindsey or Samantha their 15 minutes of fame, its about a political candidate who refuses to lose her fundementalist beliefs, which she has to do if she plans to be in any kind of public office. She is suppose to remain neutral, not allow her faith to dictate how she would do something. Sarah is incapable of neutrality.

The difference is that Ms. Spears' opinion was that we should unfailingly trust our president and not question him at all. It was blind, unconsidered acquiesence, and a lot of people (including many Republicans that I know) thought that it was a lame thought to express, regardless of the President's party. It is not only acceptable to question our leaders, but it's also our responsibility, because they're supposed to work for us. Meanwhile, Ms. Lohan and Ms. Ronson are expressing a point of view (one with unsuspected depth, though I'll grant you that the bar there is pretty low) based on information that is out there in the public domain.

Disagree with the opinions if you want. I didn't need to hear their opinions to know that I wasn't going to vote for McCain and Palin anyway.

Um No.

We're just amused that the GOP is filled with such lightweights that Lindsay Lohan and Pamela Anderson seem intelligent, articulate, and eminently reasonable by comparison.

Really? "filled" huh? And exactly who are these "lightweights" you claim "fill" the GOP?

No, but as mayor of Wasilla, Palin did charge rape victims $1200 dollars for their own rape kits. Kind of like being raped all over again.

Lohan - "I find it quite interesting that a woman who now is running to be second in command of the United States, only 4 years ago had aspirations to be a television anchor. Which is probably all she is qualified to be"

This from someone who, 4 years ago, thought the greatest thing to do was get drunk and show her snatch to the public. Guess that makes her qualified to be....to be....hmmm, I guess to be a porn star.

Senator Barack Obama and Senator Joe Biden have my vote...and my girlfriend's... and my two female cousins...and my two male cousins.

Tell me, what exactly is Obama going to do to fix the economy? keep our country safe? end the war? What exactly is he going to do about high gas prices and real estate in our country?

if you can't answer these questions, do you REALLY know anything about the people you support?
