Carly Fiorina Criticizes Tina Fey As "Disrespectful...Sexist"

McCain spokeswoman Carly Fiorina has weighed in on the major issue of today, namely, 30 Rock creator Tina Fey's portrayal of vice presidential contender Sarah Palin from this weekend's Saturday Night Live. Fiorina, astonishingly, termed it "disrespectful." Because that's what SNL does - paint flattering pictures of political figures. You'd think she'd be immune to such concerns, or at least not humorless about it -- after all, the very candidate she supports went on SNL last season and wittily lampooned his own age. But in Fiorina's opinion, Fey was "sexist" and failed to delve into Palin's substance.

Speaking of Palin's substance, today on the stump she loudly declared that she'd end the practice of Wall Street rewarding incompetent CEOs with "golden parachutes." Palin made no note of Fiorina's own $21 million-dollar ripcord, because I guess that would be too substantive.

[WATCH.]

MITCHELL: You are the first person from the McCain campaign I can ask, what did you think of Tina Fey as Sarah Palin?

FIORINA: Well, I think that she looked a bit like her. I think that, of course, the portrait was very dismissive of the substance of Sarah Palin, and so in that sense, they were defining Hillary Clinton as very substantive, and Sarah Palin as totally superficial. I think that continues the line of argument that is disrespectful in the extreme, and yes, I would say, sexist in the sense that just because Sarah Palin has different views than Hillary Clinton does not mean that she lacks substance. She has a lot of substance.

Fiorina was a horrible CEO...and was hated by her employees. She still got her money, but why anyone listens to or invites this dunce onto their show is beyond me.

Go get some more plastic surgery Carly.

CARLY IS ONLY ONE OF THE BIG LIARS. KEITH OLBERMAN IS GOING BROKE JUST SHELLING OUT $100 EVERYTIME PALIN LIES. SO FAR $3700. BUT WELL WORTH IT. WE SHOULD ALL MAIL MONEY TO PALIN, A PENNY FOR HER THOUGHTS IF SHE EVER HAD ANY. WHAT A SAD WOMAN. SHE DOESNT EVEN SPEAK PROPER ENGLISH. ALASKA MUST BE DESPERATE TO VOTE IN THIS DEAD MOOSE LOVER.

I find Carley's comments to be so hypocritical. The republicans all said to Hilary when she was really getting the sexist comments to take it and to not complain. Even Palin is on video giving her opinion on how Hilary should stop whinning. They are such hypocrites that they make me want to laugh. I only hope that We all wake up and vote for Obama and I still think it should be Hilary on the Ticket but Joe Biden is a good second choice.

Congratulations! It's taken a while, but you've finally found an unflattering photo of Sarah Palin!

Since when does a serious presidential campaign look to a comedy show for substantive analysis of its candidate?

The GOP's only tool is in re-defining the issues.

Investigations into strongly evidenced criminal activity: "partisan witch-hunts"
Valid criticism of a candidate or their running mate: "sexist", "class-warfare"
Defining the opposition's inspiring thoughtfullness and oratory skills: "elitist"

All of which are activities that the GOP seriously engags in.

Carly has no credibility. Her comments, good, bad or indifferent mean absolutely nothing.
Why do I even bother to comment on her?

Carly Fiorina is a failed CEO, political opportunist. $21 million parachute for being fired, and she criticizes incompents on Wall Street. Hypocrite.

Carly, you obviously didn't come up through the original feminist movement in the 60's. We all finally learned to laugh a little and not take everything so damned seriously. The skit was hilarious, both the Palin and Clinton take offs. I'm a serious Lefty but just had a good belly laugh when I watched. Then it was time to go back to the serious stuff.

Carly Fiorina might have been better served had she been reading a book of quotations prior to watching SNL.'s "disrespectful." and "sexist" skit.
One in particular comes to mind...from Harry S. Truman..."If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen."
WHAT does this wiretapping demigog, with a management style so reminiscent of Pa'in's, THINK comedians DO.
They make funny, Carly, they make funny, and with as good a target as Pa'in ...the Atilla from Wasilla, it's so pitifully easy.

On MSNBC, they're talking about the CEO's of these investment firms in New York leaving with billions of dollars in severance pay. Somebody should ask Carly Fiorina about the 21 Million she received after HP went down the crapper.

Thefact that Ms Fiorina has to comment on a SNL skit says volumes for the Republican ticket. A top advisor to Mc Cain has to defend Palin against ghastly sexist attacks by SNL?
Ms Fiorina, pay more attention to the failures of your boss and less to comedy skits. You might get a bit further.
BTW i found it neither "sexist" or "disrespectful". I found it witty, insightful and more than a bit accurate.

Hmmm.... Someone who ran a company into the ground has the right to criticize an actress doing a skit? Why does anyone listen to Fiorina? She was a disaster!

"Disrespectful in the extreme"? Has this woman never seen SNL before?

LOL, Carly Fiorina is a failed CEO of HP who was fired due to incompetence. She has no status to say anything that matters. She is a loser!

this is absolutely incredible that this FAILED and forced out ceo is given such credibility.....after running hp into the ground and then gets caught wiretaping people at hp that she suspected were leaking info about her and her "style" of management.....the epitimy of a repub success story...ruin the company and get a big fat reward when you leave for being a terrible person and administrator....only in america...hey, i thought this was/is one of the problems on wall street today...over-paid, under-worked and under-acheiving ceo's rewarded whether they do a good job or not....obama needs to put out an ad adressing this....DUH.....

Hey Snarly Alphalfa, did the 500 point drop in the DOW remind you of your time managing HP?

I wish the Dems would point out Carly's executive experience and how having it doesn't always equate with success or good judgment!
