Fired Commissioner: Palin Lied To ABC

"She's not telling the truth when she told ABC neither she nor her husband pressured me to fire Trooper Wooten," said Walt Monegan, the Alaskan official whose dismissal by Sarah Palin is the focus of a state investigation known as "Troopergate". "And she's not telling the truth to the media about her reasons for firing me."

In an exclusive interview with ABC News.com, former Alaska Public Safety Commissioner Walt Monegan said he resisted pressure by the First Couple to re-open an old case against a state trooper, who was in a hotly contested divorce and custody battle with the Governor's sister Molly.

Alaskan lawmakers are investigating whether Palin and her husband used the power of the Governor's office to conduct a personal vendetta against their former brother-in-law, whose behavior during the 2005 divorce was described by the Palin family as " threatening."

And he is outraising the Republicans on fundraising to the degree that he can take the election to all fifty states, while McSame and the Republicans have told many of their down-ticket cndidates who requested campaign funds, "You're on your own."

The media says "50 percent" because they like to generate the impression of a horse race -- of a close race. That is the most effective way they have to get people to tune in for the latest "Who's winning this hour?" "news".

McSame-Palin's base is under 14 per cent of the electorate. And 90 per cent of the remainder are Democrats, Independents, and Republicans who will be voting Democratic because genuine Republicans are afraid for our country, should McSame-Palin be elected.

The insane, and those who lack judgment, support McSame-Palin -- which only reveals them as being fools, suckers, dupes, lemmings, and insane.

Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin is maneuvering to stop an investigation into an alleged abuse of power, in part, by claiming that she has an unlimited right to pry into the personnel records of all state employees, including the state trooper who divorced her sister.

Palin"s new position was summed up in a Sept. 9 letter from Alaska Attorney General Talis Colberg to the state legislature, which has authorized an independent counsel probe into whether Palin and her staff illegally accessed confidential personnel records of her ex-brother-in-law, state trooper Mike Wooten.

The probe also focuses on Palin"s firing of state Public Safety Commissioner Walter Monegan in July after he refused to fire Wooten.

Colberg"s argument is that Palin can access confidential files of any state employee she chooses and thus the allegation that she got unauthorized access to Wooten"s personnel records " by whatever means " is moot.
