Project Runway's Tim Gunn Weighs In On Sarah Palin

Last week's Fashion Week in New York City proved to be no oasis from political discussion -- not with dauntless videographer Liz Glover on the scene. Liz had the opportunity to talk with several former contestants from Project Runway, and asked them about what they thought of vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin -- her look, her lipstick. The reviews were decidedly mixed, with Chris March lauding her for being "well put together" (and deeming her overall look preferable to Hillary Clinton's), to Jay McCarroll's more critical assessment ("The biggest joke that could happen to this country"). But who wore the look best? Sarah Palin, or Tina Fey? We'll let you commenters wrestle with that one, and give the last word, appropriately, to Tim Gunn.

I imagine McCain working on his plans for the nation if he's elected POTUS, & in comes Tim Gunn, looks at what McCain's come up with, & says, "Talk to me." McCain then outlines how he'll continue at least 90% of Bush's policies & have Sarah Palin ready to step in if anything happens to him, and Tim frowns & says (speaking for all sensible Americans), "This worries me."

Why is it that when you get eliminated project runway that you're a star? I understand the top 4 or 5 of each season being extremely talented,but there are people who didn't make it very far at all in the contest who are now sort of major without having had the designs to get them there.The "where the hell is my chiffon?! " guy who cried on the show, is going to be a judge on the top design show next week,I don't think he ever won a challenge . Tim Gunn is impeccable as always!

to be fair, i think that most of the "challenges" on that show are idiotic and don't really reflect what a designer would have to go through. anybody who gets on the show in the first place has to have a pretty good portfolio.

True!! I am sick and tired of America being the world's laughingstock. Between Bush, now McFuzzy and Palin, I would not want to open my mouth and have my accent spotted in a foreign contry at this point. No wonder they were tripping over themselves to welcome Obama all over Europe and the Middle East. The first sign of sanity from America in 8 years.

I don't like where BuscCo. has taken our country, but I'll never be ashamed to be an American. The Palin nomination is a joke, but it doesn't reflect on the country, itself, just the low-information voters who don't know it's a joke. But don't project that onto the country as a whole. Even if McCain/Palin do get elected, it won't change how I feel about the U.S. I love this country and to hell with anybody who doesn't.
