Josh Brolin On Bar-Fight Arrest: I Did Nothing Wrong

The news in July out of Louisiana, where Josh Brolin was playing President George W. Bush for filmmaker Oliver Stone's sure-to-be controversial biopic W, was stunning: Brolin, W costar Jeffrey Wright and five others were arrested in connection with a bar fight.

Now, with the machinery gearing up to promote the movie about the 43rd and current chief executive - W is set to open Oct. 17, in anticipation of the Nov. 4 national election - Brolin, who has yet to explain what happened, continues to shed little light on that night in Shreveport.

"Let me put it this way," a poker-faced Brolin, 40, tells the fashion magazine W for its October issue, on sale next Tuesday. "It was nice to be in jail knowing that I hadn't done anything wrong. And it was maddening to be in jail knowing that I hadn't done anything wrong."

There's something "street" about this guy. Diane Lane shouldn't be with him. He's already had the cops at his house once. If you don't want trouble you don't go to places where trouble is.

He may be lucky they arrested him.
This way he didn't get killed in the parking lot or walking to his room.
Bar fights often end badly. The cops seldom bother tosort the good apples from the bad. They tend to do a sweep of anyone involved. Texan cops they love to use Tazers...B­rolin should be happy he didn't get to try one of those out.
After court, I'd throw a party and send the cops an invitation.
Surely his lawyer has their names.

The idea is to only reply to direct questions and do exactly as you are told...if he isn't used to being arrested his desire to express himself in any way could get him toasted.
They don't care who he is or thinks he is. They want to put the thing to bed and not take chances on getting hurt.

You're right. Unlike the movies, bar fights can continue from the parking lot, into the street, down the street, and into the next parking lot. Guy's get sadistic too once they see they have the edge and that means they're gonna hurt you. Brolin is lucky.

Brolin is innocent here people, look at who had something to gain in all this - Whoopi wanted that part and when Brolin got it she was livid.
The American people need only ask two questions: (1) what did Whoopi know? and.. (2) when did Whoopi know it?
