Sources familiar with the former vice president's plans say he is set to announce the acquisition Plenty, a four-year-old title about environmentally-conscious living. As it happens, Gore -- who already has a toe in the media business through his TV network, Current -- is on the cover of the current issue.
I asked Mark Spellun whether Gore is about to become Plenty's new owner. "That wouldn't be quite accurate," he said. He declined to elaborate, saying an announcement would be forthcoming.
