CNN Calls Out McCain Lie: Obama Does Have A Plan For Financial Crisis

I Like ItI Don’t Like It

John McCain keeps on outdoing himself with his lies. Now he's trying to make the totally false case that Barack Obama doesn't have a plan for the economic crisis. "Senator Obama," he says, "has still not offered any plan of any kind."

As CNN's Tom Foreman reports:

No plan from Obama? No way. To the contrary, Senator Obama has talked at length about reforming Wall Street, getting CEO pay packages under control, instituting new regulations to protect homeowners. In short, what everybody wants: stabilizing the economy.

Foreman also added that McCain has "been notably short on details on how he would handle this crisis."

Here's video:

Democrats wake up. Harry Reid is lying or was played for an idiot. If he doesn't resign fire him.
(CNN) — John McCain suggested Wednesday he has not decided whether he will vote for the economic bailout, contradicting Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid's comments Tuesday night indicating the Arizona senator would definitely support the plan.

"I did not say that," McCain told reporters flatly at an economic roundtable in New York when asked about Reid's comments

Reid, who had challenged McCain to take a position on the bill, said Wednesday he had been told the Arizona senator would support the $700 billion proposal.

“I got some good news in the last hour or so … it appears that Sen. McCain is going to come out for this,” he said, according to The Hill.

I hope Joe Lieberman who currently functions as McCain's handmaiden will be smirking in November as widely as he is now when the Democrats take a larger majority in the Senate and under a new Democratic president strip Lieberman of his Senate chairmanships.

Impeachment is a problem, because you can't get rid of Cheney on account of this financial mess. It has nothing to do with the VPs office and there's no big smoking gun on him.

Lou Dobbs just likes to hear his own head rattle, and -- as the old saw puts it -- an empty wagon rattles loudest. I quit listening to him rant some time back. There's a limit to how much crap one can absorb patiently.

As regards the question of voters' IQ's, my favorite quotation in the whole world is "Against stupidity, the gods themselves contend in vain." There's no use trying to apply reason to get through to someone incapable of thinking logically and dispassionately. Whether this is a matter of intelligence or personality is moot, but the effects are the same. I've known people with PhD's who subscribed to utter nonsense outside their areas of expertise.

So far over the past 3 years, Obama's plan has been to collect as much loot from Freddie and Fannie which has put him number 2 over the past 19 years. We are moving towards Stalin's Russia and Obama has even suggested in some of his speeches that would should adopt the Chi-Com model.

I don't think we should bail out Wal-Street. Its going to go "south" anyway and all this is going to do is add to inflation. Its not like the Fed Gov has $700 billion to a Trillion dollars laying around anyway.
Where did the trillion on Wal-Street go? Middle east, China?

Obama got $126,349 in donations from low level employees of Freddie and Fannie, but what few seems to realize is that McCain actually got more money from members of the two companies than Obama did. McCain's donations over the years came mainly from directors, officers, and lobbyists for Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac and totaled $169,000. The reason why McCain's donations from the execs wasn't flagged as coming from Fannie and Freddie was that these donors are also members of boards of other companies and their donations were recorded as coming from the other companies.

Sure, keep believing that in 2 years of controling congress and what is it you guys like to say about Obama 143 days in office before the campaign started, Obama stole all your money.

Ignore the fact that with NO PLAN, paulson wants total control and a 700 billion dollar check to play with. Nothing shady there.

The best part of running a fact free campaign is that you can focus all attention on the presentation. You make up any old thing you happen to think up that suits your purpose of the day, stage a dramatic presentation and, as long as your opponent hasn't recently done the thing you're accusing him of not doing, you win. If the press starts to ask questions, you ignore them or blame them or banish them. You figure people are brain dead anyway, so why not? It's like walking a tight rope without the rope.
