I Like ItI Don’t Like It
Bush Mccain

Over the last few days, John McCain has talked a decent game when it comes to enacting new regulations to protect American families from another financial crisis. But as this new video demonstrates, McCain's talk is just hot air -- he's got no record to back it up.

Last March, he famously said that he was "fundamentally a deregulator." In July, he said that his "fundamental difference" with Barack Obama was that Obama favored "more regulation" while he favored less. And earlier this month, McCain's strong support for deregulation was on display in speech after speech at the GOP convention.

Now, John McCain is scrambling to follow Barack Obama's lead as a reform-minded proponent of regulation. But that can't change the fact that when it comes to his record, all the way up until Thursday of last week, John McCain is "The Fundamental Deregulator" -- and YouTube is here to prove it:

Someone needs to make a real ad out of this. There is more out there too. How about McCain saying I am the biggest free market and free trader you will ever see !

All of this should play well especially in the rust belt and industrial states of PA, Michigan, Wisc, and Ohio.

Something to think about

Ask this question -- are the credit markets really about to seize up?

If they are then lots of business owners should be eager to tell how their bank is calling their 90-day revolving loans, rejecting new loans and demanding more cash on deposit.

If the problem is toxic mortgages then how come they are still being offered all over the Internet? On the main page AOL generates for me there is an ad for a 1.9% loan Why oh why or why would taxpayers be bailing out banks that are continuing to sell these toxic loans?

How does the proposal help Joe and Mary Sixpack who can afford their current monthly payment, but not the increased interest rate that has been or soon will take effect? Every day bankers work out loans with customers -- so why are taxpayers being asked to act when banks are largely on strike, refusing to negotiate revised deals with many loan customers?

How about interviewing small landlords who were drawn into these toxic loans. Are banks negotiating with them? Ask why banks are refusing (landlords I spoke to said they are) to negotiate with small landlords.

What steps are being taken to take back bonuses, fees and other compensation from the folks who got rich selling toxic mortgages and illiquid investments that Secretary Paulsen claims are threatening the whole system.

It absolutely amazes me how McCain seems to just talk his way through life....he says things that he thinks others want to hear but seems not bright enough to understand what he is saying or remember things he has said. Things like: "I am a deregulator who favors regulation" ...... "I am against the Wall Street Bail out beause it is an idea I can support" .... "I think our economic system is fundamentally sound because I think the American worker is the best in the world". It is difficult to differentiate whether he is a (1) pathological liar, (2) doddering old fool, (3) mentally challenged. or suffering from (4) Alzheimer's Disease.

Will somebody PLEASE send this to the Obama campaign or a progressive 527 so they can make it into a TV add (and throw in that a firm owned by McCain's campaign manager, Rick Davis, has been receiving Freddie Mac payments up until last month http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/09/23/freddie-mac-paid-mccain-c_n_128770.html )

If you're a person with eyes and ears and you watch this and still feel the need to vote this man in then you're lost.

All McCain knows is "my friends", "my friends". If I were to meet him I'd say: Mr McCain, You're no friend of mine. My friend passes bills to protect those exposed to asbestos. My friend doesn't pass bills that benefit the rich at the expense of the poor. Mr. McCain, you're no friend of mine.

We should all know by now that McCain's dictionary is DIFFERENT from ours.

In McCain's dictionary FUNDAMENTALS = AMERICAN WORKERS.

So it should go without saying that MY FRIENDS = CLUELESS VOTERS AKA REPUBS.

the issues are:

palin is being investigated for abuse of power .

she and her husband have violated court ordered subpoena's

mccain is obstructing justice, by interfering in the investigation.

isn't this illegal? i am 100% certain if barak obama's vp had done the same, he would not be the nominee, would he?

they are not allowing reporters to ask unscripted questions.

they are denying reporters access to her foreign policy improv's.

is the mccain palin ticket above the law?

have they rewritten the rules as we watch?

are they setting in motion the new standard for the press in the mccain /palin regime?

how far will they go?

what is next ?

He thinks the deregulations were important to the growth of our economy.

Only he did not tell us that America has seen the biggest income disparity in its WWII.

Sure we were creating millionaires and Billionaires, but the middle class was shrinking and the poor were getting into abject poverty.

To secure the nation against its people we need to re-mediate the income gap otherwise we will see riot in the street of America and it will not be pretty. Even the super rich will not have peace.

And CNN.com's political headline is McCain's 5 point plan but not even a link to the great press conference and economic plan Obama gave. Sickening

And yet Repubs say that CNN is "in the tank for" Obama. It's only fair when their candidate is viewed in a more favorable light.. Now THAT is sickening.

Has George Will ever opposed any Republican nominee before? I don't think so.

But in today's Washington Post, the most influential conservative columnist of them all addresses the main reason McCain should not be President. His temperament. Will views McCain as an intemperate hothead, an irrational rager, a scapegoater, and a hater.

Check it out. Will does not endorse Obama. He simply concludes that between an inexperienced President and an explosive volatile loose cannon, he'll go with the inexperienced one because inexperience passes quickly. Raging bellicosity combined with fervid aggressiveness is permanent, especially at 72.

I don't think Obama is inexperienced, especially compared to the loose cannon and the moose but I'm happy with Will's decision. The personality issue is a killer for McC or should be.

No wonder he chose Palin, an ALaska deregularor, bridge to nowhere supporter, illegal firing of state employees, cracking down on dissent views.

They are really a team of Mavericks.

My thoughts are best expressed by our current President:
"There's an old saying in Tennessee — I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee — that says, uh, fool me once, shame on, uh, on, uh, — shame on you. Fool me ,uh, fool you, uh, once, — you can't get fooled again."

I'm not so sure. There are three breeds of Republicans: the uber wealthy, those who have high hopes of being the uber wealthy and want to have their way greased, and the uber dumb who are so easily manipulated by Republican hate and fear campaigns. That leaves 2/3 who know what's going on but don't care because it makes them richer. Don't forget who suffered the most after 1929. FDR was called by the surviving wealthy a "traitor of his class" because he helped the poor, and in the end, the entire country. That's what Republicans don't get. Their greed and smug self-satisfaction hurts the entire country and sooner or later it will hurt them, too.

Surprising we are talking about BAIL OUT. In fact, we should be looking into arresting all the responsible wall street executives, putting them in jail, and having them POST BAIL to get out. At over 100 or so of these traitors posting $500 million in bail, which each of them can afford, we will now have over $50 billion to help the economy.

Spread this. Spread it far and wide.

It's rare that a candidate speaks out on an issue during the campaign and gets proven absolutely, totally and irrevocably wrong shortly after. Make sure he is not allowed to fudge his philosophy.
