Rachel Maddow Calls Out McCain Camp For Refusing To Appear On Show

Over at MSNBC, newly minted show host Rachel Maddow's been straight blowing up the spot, grabbing big ratings in her 9pm time slot. But the genial host has found it difficult to book any of John McCain's top surrogates (or even Tucker Bounds, his bottom surrogate!) to come on the show. Jed Lewison pulled this video, in which Maddow lists by name all of the various McCain flacks who get the trembling night terrors at the thought of coming on her show. Can you really face [insert name of terrorist/dictator/terrible Emmy Award host here] if you lack the stones to face Maddow? Some say no!

Jac k Nicholson's character in "A Few Good Men," said "You can't handle the truth."
That is the situation the Neo-Cons find themselves in while trying to deal with Rachel.
They can't handle the truth when she poses questions. Just as the "Markets" can't handle
laissez-faire capitalizaiton without becoming extremely greedy.

They are AFRAID of Rachel and they should be - she doesn't take shi-t without destroying her opponent. She tells and truth and tells it STRAIGHT.

I like her - she has integrity and courage.

She rocks! She's an example of why we need more women in power and in politics; with the exception of the Sarah Palins of the world.

Timothyl Leary once said,"Intelligence is the best aphrodisiac'' He had to have a woman like Rachel Maddow in mind!!I love the way her mind works.A Class Act.Very refreshing and sophisticated.

Rachel, I loved you on Air America and I adore you on MSNBC!

Sometimes, when I look at and hear "The Flinstones"( MCCain and Palin)" speak, I feel as though I have fallen into the realm of the absurd and the lessons of Barbara Tuchman's "March of Folly" come to mind.

The height of folly will be if they get elected!

Rachel is No. 1 for good reason! She's the best!

Now how do they deal with this....

The right wingers "call out" those who do not attend their slander and insult sessions. Now, there is someone on the left that does not insult, but rather asks meaningful questions, and they refuse to attend. They are ~so~ above being accountable to people.

How can the neocons respond? Names? False accusations?

This will be interesting to watch. One can guess they will use the "biased host" line to defend their avoidance, and exempt their own hacks for their "fair and balanced" coverage. At least, that is my guess, but however they try to squirm, I'll be watching!

OH NO, she asks intelligent questions, forget that show.

Since McClue-less and Porker have no idea how to be presidential is it any wonder they refuse to come on the show.

If the McCain camp can't handle or fears the press why would we trust them to try to handle real problems that would come up if they were the leadership? War hero to coward? Sorta looks that way.

Somebody please ask Rachel if she's aware that she sometimes comes across as a little too ecstatic when relating news that's bad for all of us, even if it is CAUSED by one of her least favorite favorite pols. A little *Too* HAPPY when reporting Wall St flameout or latest Iraq debacle? I LOVE her, but .... Be happy, be GIDDY, be O R G A S M I C when B, C, McC or P stumble badly foot-in-mouth wise or contradict one another or otherwise get caught out. Or any other significant fool in her sights. Here, she's a Major National Contender, a master of irony. Her apparent joy & ZOMG!!1-what-fools is gravy. Tasty gravy. Vicarious schadenfreude for the closet gloater.

Go Rachel, you're real smart & I like that.
