Afghan Government, Taliban Holding Secret Peace Talks: Report

The Taliban and the Afghanistan government have been involved in secret peace talks to bring an end to the conflict, The Observer reported Sunday.

The British newspaper said it had learned a senior former Taliban leader has been talking to Kabul officials in a loose peace process facilitated by Saudi Arabia and given logistical support by Britain. The unnamed Taliban negotiator has been shuttling between the militant Islamist group's bases, Saudi Arabia and European capitals, sources told The Observer.

The only people who will suffer if Taliban comes back to power would be: nn-Muslim foreigners, communists, socialists, atheists, Hindu, Buddhists, Christians, Jews, musicians, hair stylists, gays, dancers, women, feminists, Muslims of other sects and anyone who does not support the strictest Sharia laws... everyone would be fine.
