I Like ItI Don’t Like It

Gawker, Marc Ambinder and our own Rachel Sklar note that the New Yorker is poking some fun at Sarah Palin for her rather dubious claim that Alaska's proximity to Russia gives her foreign policy experience. Scroll down for a full size image of the cover.

Okay, heres one for Joe Biden: He can see D.C. from his house so that should make him most qualified to be VP.

I think the enchiladas qualify because the best diplomacy takes place over the shared joys of food. Did you use cheese and sour cream on the enchiladas? Would you like to be had of the FDA, too? If you employed canned chile peppers, perhaps you could be our new labor liaison to the ever-increasing and very important Hispanic labor coalition.

This is our future if McCain is elected:

This is frightening

I still say that the ONLY reason McCain picked Sarah Palin was to jazz up the ticket with a hot looking female. And I still wonder why he didn't take his idea to its logical conclusion and pick a young blonde stripper as his VP.........

That's his wife's role. I bet Cindy looks at all the postings of John checking out Palin's back-side during here RNC address and thinks: "He better not do to me what he did to his first wife."

John McCain actually offered that Cindy enter a contest at Sturgis - (.)(.)

In their joint interview with Katie Couric he kept looking at P'alins chest when he looked over at her... he's SOOO obvious about it too.

They kept repeating it over and over and over. Including the surrogates, JOhn and Cindy too. That was the bizarre thing about this foreign policy claim.

It was like they were in their own world of deception. They thought Americans would fall for this is the killer part.

They have a lot of proof that if something is repeated over and over and over, vast numbers of idiots will chant along. Take "maverick" for instance. John says it about himself, his campaign says it about him, Palin says it about him and he says it about her. I grew up in a ranching town. A 72-year-old maverick is just OLD BULL. Maybe the campaign should be:

Old McBull/Mad Cow Palin: 92% Bush, 8% Maverick

Actually, Sarah can see the lightly populated and frozen tundra of Siberia. Moscow is ~4000 miles away. Nice try Sarah darlin.

An international-geographical lesson of "I'll get back to ya" as seen through Sarah Palin's eyes of revelation!

Some think that Senator McCain needed “a pretty face” for his VP ticket !

Do you honestly not recognize the the characature of Barack & Michelle Obama was a parody of all the distorted/false claims being made about the two of them? It wasn't racist on the New Yorker's part; it was shining the light on the racism and fearmongering that was being targeted at the Obamas by others. Look into it a bit more deeply.

I know what is was but unfortunately these "low information voters" won't take as a parody. They will look at it as fact. The Palin cover is nowhere near as damaging as the Obama cover.

I live in a relatively small town with not much of anything foreign to look at. I do live at the corner of Hollywood and Broadway. So since we're finding it easy to qualify for leadership, I guess since my corner stretches from East to West, I'm the new President! YESSSS!

I know that the VP debate will be Palin's last debate of any significance. My prediction is that it will draw the largest national and international audience of any entertainment event in history. Go Biden!

Bless you Sarah.
