I Like ItI Don’t Like It

Update: Also see "Who is the biggest winker of them all?"

Keith O. played a funny video comparing the rhetoric Sarah Palin 2008 and George W. Bush 2000, ending with a video of both them winking.

So I did a tiny bit of googling and found a couple of higher-res images of the two of them saluting America with the squint of their eyelids...and wouldn't you know it, they almost look like twins.

Presenting the winkers in chief:

McCain/Palin the bridge to vagabond.
Keep your eye on a person who winks at you!

Proverbs 6:11-14
Your poverty will come in like a vagabond
And your need like an armed man.
A worthless person, a wicked man/woman,
Is the one who walks with a perverse mouth,
Who winks with his/her eyes, who signals with his feet,Who points with his/her fingers;
Who with perversity in his heart continually devises evil,Who spreads strife.

The grotesque thing about the images is that the winks are fake. Palin has to force her eyelid up by clenching her left cheek and sneering a little. The guys do it better, but it's the same -- fake and manipulative. A real wink is a light, quick, eyelid clench.

In apologizing for bringing up the past, I have to vent. I was born in 1945...before the end of WWII. Since then, there has been the Korean War, the Vietnam conflict, the assassination of JFK, RFK, MLK, Nixon's impeachment and resignation, the Space Race, the recession during Carter's tenure, the 1st Gulf War, Clinton's troubles and 8 years of Bush/Cheney. Watching/listening to the debate made me think that this country has hit the bottom...McCain/Palin is a joke and a scary one at that. What has happened to get to this point?????

I bet the McCain camp thought that by making Palin folksy and winky would make Americans appreciate her. Ok, maybe if you are a voter who is voting on principles that have no substance. But to the most of us it came across as phony. The beauty of it all is that today we are not talking about the issues Sarah Palin discussed. We're talking about her winks, by golly gees and shoes. Again, McCain camp fails on stragedy on how to win voters other than their base. Again, McCain camp thinks that the American people are stupid and can easily be persuaded by a wink. or a golly gee.

Palin, Say it aint so? Why are you playing the Gotcha game with the American people? I'd love to Parachute you in to the inner city or the lower/middle class Joe 6 pack communities to see how they'll respond to your folksy ways. At a time that they are in the verge of losing their homes, jobs and dignity. At a time when they are seeking leadership and tax relief so they can finally get the bigger end of the stick. Oh wait, You did lose Michigan didn't cha! Dog Garnit gotta try to whip up some numbers on that electoral map why don cha. ;) Thanks for giving SNL more material. I look forward to tomorrow.

Birds of a feather ...
Obama and Biden are correct when they say, "The next four years will be the same as the last eight."

wink wink wink

McCan't and Falin lean so far to the right that their left eyes are no longer fully functional, that's why they wink

She also borrowed liberally from speeches made by GWB and Reagan when he was Governor of California. For someone who wants to be perceived as not affiliated with the GOP base, she sure doesn't seem to mind copying the words, style, and mannerisms of her predecessors.

Amen!
When listening to her answers to non-questions I thought I heard some of those answers given during the spin sessions prior to the debate. McSame thought when he vetted her that if the American people would fall for George W. given his record prior to becoming Pres., then why not use the same concept but only put her in a skirt!
