I Like ItI Don’t Like It

Monday on the "The View" Elisabeth Hasselbeck tried to defend John McCain on the subject of the Keating 5 while attacking Barack Obama over his relationship with Bill Ayers.

"This is not about smears," Hasselbeck insisted, adding moments later, "He [Obama] wants to hide all of his radical connections."

Watch Sherri, Whoopi and Barbara verses Elisabeth on Monday's show. Joy Behar was out.

near the end of the hubbub hassleback says her real problem with obama is that he's not 'open'. and that 'no matter what you think of sarah palin, she's been completely open". what?? palin is IGNORING a court issued subpoena. and she’s told her husband and her staff to do the same. and she’s claimed e-mails she wrote to her husband—not a government employee--fall under 'executive privilege'. open? she's about as open as dick cheney's heart. and apparently, like cheney, she thinks she's above the law. (which, i don't know, would you call that elitist?) if this election wasn’t so important, this might be funny, but hassleback is a dangerous little piece of work. uninformed viewers might actually listen to her (and her typed up talking points), but while her indignation is apparently bottomless, her knowledge is about as deep as a bottle cap.

I wish they had brought up the more pertinent associations to Keating, G. Gordon Liddy, Rev. Hagel and Parsley and that anti-semite.

Yup. Totally agree with your view that support of the repubican ticket when they support the hate-filled crap that comes out of their audiences makes anyone who votes for them a ra cis t by association. No way you can reward and vote for this ticket if you disagree with the direction they are going. This is extreme and must not progress any further in American politics.

It was very interesting how she stopped quoting just short of McCain's "judgment" was questioned in the Keating scandal.

Yep, they always seem to forget that McCain was CENSURED!
Her and FOX continue to insist that McCain was Mr Clean and NOT found guilty of anything!
They don't censure you when you are NOT guilty of anything!

What is this trophy wife, ding-a-ling, right-wing tape recorder doing on any talk show anyway. She probably thinks critical thinking is a board game.

Elizabeth Hasselbeck: one-time reality show contestant and sleeping with a one-time NFL backup quarterback. Solid qualifications.

You forgot to add that she didn't "survive" the reality show, either.

I just like how Bill Clinton outed his Democratics "resisting any efforts by Republicans in the Congress or by me when I was President to put some standards and tighten up a little on Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac"

Republicans had the power, infact they were veto proof. They put what laws they wanted, often times not even allowing the democrates into meetings. So how could the Democrates keep them from doing what they wanted?

Its like McCain blamed Obama..he was not there.

She is always ranting and raving, never let others talk or get a sentence in period. She spits out her talking points and then rants abotu how she is right until it is time for the next commercial.

MS LIZ IS ALL WRONG, AND not open to any other opinion than her own.
OW WOW SOUNDS JUST THE 10% CONTROLING INTEREST FO THE REPUBLICAN PARTY.they take a sound bite and argue a bogus point relentlessly.
A true association is how McCain reaped beneits for the influence int e Keatign 5.
He was given a pass, but he did try to pressure regulators into going easy on his campaign supporter,. One of his first supporters. Mr Keating's bank was a major player in the S&L Scandal. but Liz did not let that get out.

Todd Palin continued an official membership in the Alaska Independence Party until 2002, more than 30 years after the Weather Underground went out of existence and Barack Obama was a child. When Todd Palin was a member the Alaska Independence Party, Sarah Palin was the mother of his children. Sarah Palin, as Alaska's governor, told the Alaska Independence Party to "keep up the good work" as they were about to nominate conspiracy buff Charles Baldwin for president.

The Alaska Independence Party has a history which it has not repudiated and a commitment to policies that would be considered "anti-American" across the political spectrum, policies that have produced separatist wars in many parts of the world. Americans deserve to know if Sarah Palin still agrees with that party's views, and even if she wants to be an American rather than an Alaskan citzen.

I hope the other ladies on The View bring up Palin's association with terrorists and her scary pastor. If not, I would be very disappointed that they let that slip by.

Liz is the only one that actually talks with some sense. Obama has affiliated himslef with a known terrorist, and a radical preacher, and even in his own book said that he would take the side of Muslim. I know the truth husrts sometimes but even you liberal whiners and cry babies have to see that.

Remember Gore lost. Wah! Wah! Wah!

You are so clever. The Supreme Court did not select the winner of the election. The declared that what Gore's camp was doing was unconstitutional.

What about we moderates? I have served honorably for 20+ years in the military. I know BS when I see or hear it. The Ayers thing has been discredited (again, and again, and again) The religous argument is a wash given Pastors Hagee &Parsons.
Since when is a religious preference the means for hating someone? I'm a christian (CATHOLIC no less) each week the priest teaches us to forgive and accept others=Jesus message.

Do you not realize that people are now killing themselves (attempting to ) in the face of an economy that threatens to take away everything they worked for? People are being laid off!!!!

People can't stretch their dollars far enough. Wake up and deal with reality PLEASE

I am dealing with reality. Since the Democrats have taken over Congress it has been downhill ever since. That is reality that you need to face as well.

Liz, like Palin are markers by which to identify the IQ of an individual.

So far, their fans are batting under 85.

Did you actually read Obama's "own book?" That is, either one of his books? I have, and I don't recall any suggestion that he would "take the side of Muslim" (against Israel?) in either book.

It sounds as though you didn't know he had more than one book, let alone know which book someone told you was supposed to say that. Give me a page number...and the name of the book.
