McCain Ad: Obama A Liar And A Hypocrite (VIDEO)

The McCain campaign launched an ad on Tuesday that accuses Barack Obama of being a hypocrite and a liar -- charges that seem quaint compared with the attacks launched against the Illinois Democrat on Monday.

The spot, titled "Hypo," plays off the factchecking reports that McCain's campaign has, at earlier times in this election, belittled. Noting that Obama is asking Missouri law enforcement to target misleading ads against him, the ad's narrator calls it hypocritical for the Illinois Democrat to be running untruthful ads of his own. The ad does use the line "Who is Barack Obama?" -- a question that, at a McCain rally Monday, led one audience member to answer "Terrorist!"

On Monday, McCain and Sarah Palin were raising questions about Obama's association to "terrorist pals" like Bill Ayers. By comparison, a tit-for-tat over who is the biggest liar seems somewhat mild. In actuality, it is just an indication of how vile this race has become and how words like "liar" no longer strike such a profound political chord.

The republicans will get in the sewer and start to fling crap with a venom that has rarely been seen front and center in this country since the days of desegregation.

The fear is going to be heightened to a level you have never seen.

The GOP bigots will have fliers, ads, radio commercials, inter-net spam and video about blacks stealing your jobs, and in these tough times how blacks and other minorities are stealing your children’s places in college. It's going to be worse than ugly.

Watch for the Bush/Cheney republicans and folks at Homeland Security will claim that we are under some sort of terrorist attack and, will also release Bin Laden tapes and al Quaeda threats and claim that they have captured a terrorist cell and the members will be black men.

The GOP will claim that Sen. Obama has terrorists who have contributed to his campaign all while our financial system burns.

McCain and the republican party have once again proven that they are the party of hatred, fear, and divisiveness.

Sen. Obama's campaign was doing much to help bridge the racial divide nonetheless McCain and the republican party has signaled that they wish our nation to remain divided and for Americans to never see beyond color if it means winning an election.

Obama has been out in national politics for well over a year. I think the public and press pretty much know about Obama. The question is who is McCain. He has changed so much he is no longer a hero. He destroyed that himself. He was against negative campaigns and now look. We all know who Biden is. He can make gaffes on little stuff, but he is right on and certainly an honorable, kind, good man. What do we know about Palin? She is cute, she is fun, she would be great to party with. I would love to spend some time with her, but I don't even know how she has governed Alaska. I know she knows about oil and natural gas, but she doesn't seem to know the pipeline from Alaska has not even been started. So I know the Democrats, one Republican has changed and I am not sure and the other is unknown.
