Obama Nearly Endorsed By Chicago Police Superintendent

Chicago Police Superintendent Jody Weis appeared to endorse Barack Obama during an interview with ABC 7 earlier this week.

In a story about the demands placed on Chicago police to secure Obama's Hyde Park home, Weis told reporter Chuck Goudie that the department is happy to absorb the extra work, which requires six officers and at least five patrol cars be stationed around the home 24-hours-a-day (emphasis added):

He's our senator and he's hopefully going to be our next president, so it's an honor to serve and protect his home.
