Edit Pakay On Duchovny Affair Reports: "I Am Not Going To Deny It"

Tennis coach Edit Pakay , 28, has spoken to the Daily Mail about her close relationship with David Duchovny, who announced his separation from Tea Leoni shortly after leaving rehab for sex addiction.

Speaking last night, Edit admitted: 'We have a very, very close friendship. I don't want to be the third person in the marriage but I know it can be seen that way.

'David and I are very close friends and we still play tennis together. He's an excellent player. He likes physically strong, fit women.

'He is in great shape. He is a wonderful man. He's a very intelligent, very kind and good man.'

When asked directly if her relationship with the film and TV star had developed into a full-blown sexual affair, Edit said: 'I don't want to say anything that might hurt David. I am not going to deny it. I don't know what our relationship means to him.'

But Edit seems in little doubt as to what the relationship means to her.

For her, what began as a professional relationship of tennis player and coach quickly turned into a love match.

She said: 'I wasn't instantly attracted to him. What is great about David is his intelligence and kindness. He is the sort of person you get to like more the more you know him.'

The two reportedly met last year at the Malibu Racquet Club.

A day after the Daily Mail article, Pakay claimed there was "no romance... no love, nothing" and denied an affair.

I can never understand men, lol. You give them someone like a Tea Leoni, and they still go sneaking around!! I don't think there is a sexual addiction here at all. I think he simply got caught cheating and was trying to find some sympathetic avenue out of the bad publicity. I have seen many men do this very thing and it's completely irrational behavior. I suppose, after all, when their hormones get raging that they cannot help it? And I will refrain from talking about the other woman. It wasn't her fault directly. It seems as if it was David who couldn't say no. He had as much choice as she did and he didn't stop it. Wow, this story just gets worse. I can't imagine Billy Bob over David Duchovny other than the fact that he is the more respected actor. He has as many problems as any one else. His problems manifested themselves in several wives, weird behaviour and anorexia. Probably more acceptable than sex addiction but just as destuctive. The duelling friends/pu­blicists/s­toryteller­s need to stop. I realize that I am making comment number 2 on statements that they have not verified as true. Lord, we need to leave them alone and let them work it out. It's their problem to solve. I would hate to be reading stuff about myself. They are people and parents first celebrities second.
