Franken Put On Obama's Change Bandwagon In Union Mailer

The union conglomerate Change to Win is blasting out a mailer to Minnesota voters that puts Senatorial candidate Al Franken beside Barack Obama, saying the two of them together will "change politics as usual."

The mailer features working Minnesotans declaring their desire to send George Bush, Washington, failed policies and politicians "a message." It's part of an end-of-the-campaign effort to bolster the working class vote in Franken's favor.

This is the second instance today in which a Senate challenger is tying himself firmly to Obama's bandwagon. Earlier in the day, Jeff Merkley, who is running for Gordon Smith's seat in Oregon, put out an ad that featured the Democratic nominee touting his ability to bring change to D.C.

Change to Win is a consortium of seven unions and six million workers. Their mailer, according to the group, is being sent to 62,587 union members in Minnesota, all of whom are registered voters.
