TPM Muckraker:

The Indiana Supreme Court has declined to approve a bid by the GOP to shut down early voting centers in Democratic strongholds of a key county.

A lower court had similarly rejected the effort earlier this week. The Supreme Court ruled today that the case had to first be heard by an appeals court, rather than going straight to the state's high court as the Republican plaintiffs wanted.

This just shows how desperate and scared they are about losing this election. I am so glad they're not getting their way with it.

The GOP are just trying to shut down the potential Obama surge in some of the most populous areas of the state...that also happens to be heavy union. It is difficult to even find Obama signs, bumper stickers etc.. the local Dem headquarters cannot keep up with the huge demand and they are flying off the shelves. McCain supporters are scared...you can tell, especially when they are resorting to stealing Obama signs out of people's yards (which seems to have become quite rampant lately here in Lake & Porter Counties).

I read somewhere else that the GOP is not giving up on getting the 200,000 votes thrown out in Ohio which the Supreme Court turned down once. Now the WH is going to ask the SCOTUS to do it, again. That's the only way Republicans know how to win an election: lie, cheat, misrepresent, suppress, and steal. They are going to be hash on November 5.

I read that also; it makes me sick! I pray that Bush's attempts to make the DOJ manipulate the votes in Ohio falls on deaf ears!

I know; it's really scary. We got to trust that Obama's on it though. He knows what they're trying to pull and I would bet he's already got a game plan.
