CPS Expanding Pre-School Programs

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago Public Schools is expanding pre-school programs to include 1,500 new students across the city.

The announcement was made Wednesday at Finkl Elementary School on the Southwest Side. The school is among three offering the early education program for the first time in many years.

CPS officials say the $11 million expansion will bring students into new pre-school classes at 50 schools citywide.
