Palin's Medical Records Still Haven't Been Released

Governor Palin's campaign still has not released any information regarding her medical records despite frequent requests from the news media and the campaign's own assertion that they would release this information soon.

On Sunday morning, Palin spokeswoman Tracey Schmitt told ABC News that the campaign had planned to release information on her medical history early this week.

mrskorn, she did NOT release her medical record; instead, it was a letter/ruse from the same physician who negligently told her to get on a commercial 8-12 hr. flight with ruptured membranes, in her 8th mo. of a high risk, 5 th pregnancy. That's either malpractice or an inane alibi. As a practicing physician, I'll go with the latter. You are right, it is a theory, but it's based on common sense and reasoning. the flight attendents (w/ no political agenda in 04/08)documented "no observable signs of pregnancy" during the flight.
Why did she delay releasing her records -- this self described, transparency in gov't, maverick?
Well, I'll bet they tried to forge/expunge them -- hard to do! But I commend their rather brilliant Cheney/Rove/Machivellian maneuver. Send this smoke screen out 12 hrs before the polls open.
If they win its executive privalege, if they lose --who cares?
I will bet my Medical License Trig is not her child and Sarah Palin is a narcissistic fraud!!!

Let me preface this by saying I pray to God I'm wrong because I would hope there's no woman on earth who would think this way. Thus, as sad as this may sound I think it's something to think about.

Has anyone considered that Palin was indeed pregnant with Trig but wanted to have the pregnancy terminated "naturally?" In other words, her carelessness might have actually been deliberate.

If she were to lose the baby during the Texas trip she would have been able to still tout herself as pro-life, not have to give birth to a Down-Syndrome child and still garner sympathy from her constituency.

Her actions during the Texas trip and subsequent movements within Alaska after her arrival seem like she actually wanted to lose the baby.

Am I crazy?

Her choices certainly were self-centered and narcissistic. Could she be that ignorant about the health issues that a child who is affected by Down Syndrome may have at birth? Maybe her ultrasounds indicated that he had no heart defects, etc? I'd be scared to death to be that far away from a board certified neonatologist.

There is something intristically wrong here. I would think that a person as politically asute and ambitious as you , would have already put a stop to the rampant scenarios that are, and have been created because of lack of the real information. Release the records, inform the voters that you are indeed truthful and have nothing to hide, and put a stop to this before it goes any further towards hampering your political future. If you care about your future, and the Republican Party, please put a stop to this now.

trying to for a woman to give up her rights to privacy is just as bad as palin herself making unwanted pregnancies a government issue and decision. its stupid cuz for one, her health, well physical health is not an issue like mccains. her mental health may be but that a diff story. and secondly he records have something extra that no males candidates will ever have. thats her ObGyn records which i think are truely irrelevant. I wouldn't want the media nor the public to have access to my medical records, esp. the yearly exams just to see if everything is coo' down there. its just no1's business. anyways we all probably have a feelin that trig is not hers but after nov 4 it wont matter. so stop acting like Palin and trying to invade some1s private records just for political reasons.

I disagree. Medical records are relevant. To obtain a security clearance one has to release their medical records, including mental health records. I went through that to work at NASA so I could access "sensitive" documents. Those documents were NOT about national security - those would be called "classified." I think all candidates must go through the same security clearance process that workers do, perhaps even more so, because they will have access to the most sensitive of information.

You must not spend much time keeping up with the news; Obama's records were released long ago; they might have even been the first of the candidates to do so. It was a detailed report, and was discussed many times, even to the point that many pundits marveled at how fantastic his cholesterol count was; you must have missed it, it's all there in detail, and I feel sure his campaign would be happy to send you a copy, if you have any doubt about his health(just in case you are waiting for it, to cast your vote?); Palin, on the other hand, well, not much time left there, so, why do you figure that is; and I doubt it has anything to do with her cholesterol count; seems since she and the McCain camp Promised it last week with Brian Williams, not one word of follow up; sound suspicious??,does to me!

If she doesn't release her medical records people are just going to keep speculating that Trig is her daughter's child. And the "motive" for pretending the baby is hers is clear. It's shameful to have a daughter who is an unwed mother when you're pushing abstinance, etc.

Her son is NOT her daughter's baby. this is just a vile rumor made up to smear her.

So if you say that it is shameful for her daughter to be pregnant while she pushes abstinence....are you saying that parents whose children rebel are shameful? If a parent advocates no drug use, should they be shamed if their kids do drugs...or drink? A parent can have a set of values that their children end up not adhereing to, or making a mistake about. It does not mean the parents are bad parents or hypocritical.

I assume your children never did anything wrong?
And who cares when her daughter is getting married...it is their business. You sound like the neighbor on Bewitched, Gladys, lol.

The likelihood of her youngest child being someone else's is not likely. There is no real motive for that deception. However anything is possible.
I would think it is more likely that there is some evidence of treatment for depression or
addiction.
Following that, I have wondered why or if the Palin's had any genetic testing (re: Down's Syndrome. ) If not , why not. I have wondered from the start if the youngest actually has Fetal Alcohol Syndrome rather than Down's.
That would be a very good reason to resist the release of medical records

How caould you tell under professionally airbrushed makeup; besides they is NO safe level of alcohol ingestion during pregnancy; their are instances of very minimal ingestion that resulted in fetal alcohol effects or the full blown syndrome.

Perhaps she once opted for cosmetic surgery (eyelift, facelift, boob job or similar) and wants that kept confidential.. or as you say, treatment for a mental condition. Or veneral disease, genital warts, herpes etc which might still carry a stigma if publicised.

When my kids go to camp they need to show health records, when my kids go to school, they are screened by a nurse/doctor, they get health certificates, when I get a new job they ask for a health check, it is a normal required part of our system for employment and/or participation in certain activities that involve others. Since we the people are essentially "employing"our president and VP by electing them and paying them with our taxes it should not be seen as unusual or prying to request the health records from Palin. She is a young healthy woman so why not just comply? She is supposed to be one of us, yet she keeps thinking that she can do things her own way. I dont get it. Walk the talk or walk away, Sarah!

When most Americans apply for a job at most corporations, there is usually some sort of personality test/screening that goes with the application. If this type of mental screening is appropriate for workers, why is it not appropriate for the leaders? Unless we really want our leaders to be unbalanced sociopaths and narcissists.
