The NHL announced Monday that there will be a random drawing for the general public to determine who will have an opportunity to purchase tickets for the outdoor Winter Classic on Jan. 1 at Wrigley Field between the Hawks and Red Wings.

Fans must register at www.chicagoblackhawks.com beginning at 11 a.m. Wednesday through 10:59 a.m. Nov. 28.
