People:

Charlize Theron has settled the $20 million breach of contract lawsuit against her, according to papers filed in Manhattan Federal Court Monday.

The suit was filed last year, when Swiss watchmaker Raymond Weil claimed that Theron had worn a Christian Dior watch during a press event in 2006, despite being paid "substantial funds" to exclusively wear Raymond Weil timepieces during the time in question.

For those attacking her....I respect an actress who shills for a watch company more than I respect an actress who sells photos of her children. And, at least she is wearing a quality product versus the hypocrites who go off to Japan, make a million (or more) for an ad campaign they wouldn't be caught dead doing here.

Big deal, she screwed up and thankfully, settled rather than waste a court's time with such nonsense.

While you've made some valid points, most people who are struggling to get by, correctly look upon this kind of behavior as mystifying, at best.

Oh Charlize...has it been that long since you did a movie that didn't even gross that much?

The suit demand was $20 million, but what was the compromised settlement ? It's probably less than that. If she forgot to wear on 1 occasion, the settlement will probably less, but if she totally ignore the terms of the contract, the settlement would be so much higher.

She's inept, regardless.

$20 million to wear a watch, or certain brand of watches
OMG
and then you can't even do it right?

this is insane

actors who do this kind of stuff remind me of AIG, Bear Stearns etc.

OMG,

If you say you are going to shill for a watch company...then keep your word.

If you don't want to, don't sign the contract.

For god's sake, doesn't she have enough money already??
