Reporting from Wells, Nev. -- The women at Donna's Ranch are crowded around the kitchen table on a warm summer night, dining on stir fry, tugging at thigh-high dresses, griping about depleted bank accounts. At this northeastern Nevada bordello, which marks a gravel road's end, they woo grizzled truckers and weary travelers for a single reason: money.

Lately, the women don't go home with much.

Amy, 58, once bought a $32,000 Toyota Tacoma in cash; now her $1,200 mortgage saps her dwindling pay. Some weeks, she could make more flipping burgers than flirting under a made-up name. Marisol's daughters think she works at a resort; she struggles to keep up the ruse. It now takes months, not weeks, to bring $5,000 back to Southern California.

GOP has tons of patriotic Americans and they are pro business. I am sure they will help Donna ranch.

There is something in the "stimulus package" for Donna's Ranch.

It's not just the economy. Brothels in Nevada are famous for "high price, low service". Who wants to pay 500 bucks for a woman who is at best a 7? It is a lot less money, and more fun, to head to Tiujuanna for the weekend.

Hey, another thing outsourced to Mexico!

Its all marketing. The strip clubs and prostitutes in NYC are apparently doing great business with all the stressed out bankers.
I think they need to start luring some big wallstreet money in.

but a 58 yr old prostitute complaining about her income??? c'mon shoulda gotten a degree long ago with that money and had a retirement nest egg account setup and a home paid off if you're gonna be doing something like prostitution with a limited life span of income.

Actually, the NYC clubs, where guys would routinely drop 50k - 100k a night. (i don't see how that's possible) are dying on the vine right now. The girls are in tough times.
